    DEFI will change everything, again.

    Posted: 05 May 2021 04:21 PM PDT

Satoshi showed us how we can move value online, then Vitalik showed us how to make the value programable. DEFI is changing crypto and failing to adapt to it will be akin to people dismissing the early days of crypto. The Bitcoin Cash community is adopting scalable DEFI.

Exchanges will be replaced by decentralized exchanges, why should we still trust centralized entities for a decentralized currency? Better security, better UX, lower fees, and no rug pulls. DEX liquidity and volumes are rapidly increasing, users are moving away from the current platforms into Web3 based alternatives. Further, consider how most of the centralized exchange assets are paired to BTC. Example, ETH/BTC, BCH/BTC, etc... Resulting in BTC moving the whole market up or down. Once most of the volume is on DEX that will change. The current bull/bear cycle created by $BTC will likely get broken into a much more complicated system.

Bitcoin Core proponents believe things should not change, that $BTC should be digital gold, with small blocks and Lightning. Maxis constantly dismissing Ethereum, what a blessing for us! I´m 100% certain that their failure to adapt and adopt scalable DEFI will mean that they won't remain at the top market cap for long.

DEFI will center around communities, those communities creating the strongest network effects out of scalable platforms will grow and create vast value networks. The Bitcoin Cash ecosystem needs to become a strong DEFI community and quickly adopt change, we need to move to decentralized exchanges. We need to adopt DEFI platforms creating liquidity, price discovery, distribution. The greatest opportunity just knocked on our door, let's get it! Once maxis realize DEFI, it will be way too late, they won't be a top coin, and their only value proposition will be dead. Cryptos without strong DEFI communities will die. Bitcoin Cash will be the number one PoW based DEFI platform and digital cash for everyone, efficiently powering a vast amount of economic growth in the world.

    Usefulness will trump speculation.

There has to be a certain threshold after which people will start going crazy for these. If you convince a merchant to start accepting BCH for pizza (and accept it for years to come no matter what) then you can claim half of these bounties. Lots of money for a little bit of work.

Spend but don't forget to replace

    Posted: 05 May 2021 06:06 PM PDT

Don't be dumb. Spend but replace!!!

Bch is something that is unlike most of the other coins because it has the most adoption as an actual currency. It is also on Robinhood, paypal, etc. Its tempting to just yolo sell but always have some BCH on hand. It's what you would do with cash! Spend, then replace. Simple.

Besides BCH, what coin has an EVM sidechain?

    Posted: 05 May 2021 09:02 PM PDT

Because if I say so myself, BCH is really just hoarding what was supposed to be for BTC, improving on it, and then implementing it, and it essentially rolls down to the fact that ETH was supposed to be on BTC.

Btc market share at 44.9% on CMC

    Posted: 05 May 2021 08:53 PM PDT

It's interesting to see Btc market share currently at 44.9% on CMC. I posted yesterday that I feel sentiment has changed, and I think it has.

It wasn't the corporations, or Elon that got Btc where is today, it was the little guy; the cypher punk, the folks that wanted to see real change in a world run by the banks and the ruling class.

But Btc - much like an elected official that made their constituents many promises in order to get elected, but then fails to deliver - has done the same thing. It promised change, and gave us more of the same. I can't believe I am the only little guy realising that Btc is no longer what it set out to be.

Of course I don't blame Btc, how can you, it is code after all. But the people who maybe thought they were doing the right thing, were wrong. Yes the number has gone up, but if all those little guys decide to move - as I am doing - then that market share is going to come down further. And that's without new innovations that are coming along and projects that are more viable as P2P Cash, like Bch.

And much like the election analogy, people will start to vote with their feet, and I believe that is what we are seeing now. On a personal level I don't want to be a part of just another corporate feeding fest. Btc set out to change the world, but was highjacked by jackals - whether on purpose or not - and has after 12 years - become just another ticker symbol on the stock exchange.

Nothing stays the same, which is something I tend to live by, though Btc Maxi's believe that is not the case. Time will tell. Change is good, even if sometimes it feels uncomfortable. Btc can't go back to its roots due to the corporations that have now bought into it.

It's still early days, but talking to friends who have been Btc Maxi's for the last 5 years or more, I feel a sea change coming, and I think that is reflected in market share.

    Bitcoin Cash in Nigeria

When you figure out btc transactions will never be cheap.

    Posted: 05 May 2021 03:37 AM PDT

I was using Lightning Network and BTC, to test, to learn, to figure things out on my own and to decide if I should actually move to Bitcoin Cash once and for all. I was told don't use first layer that is too expensive to use. Lightning Network which is still in beta. So I gave it a chance, by using private channels, open channels, custodian wallets and all which is related to Bitcoin and Lightning.

Well after some months, I realize that in the same node channel transactions will be 1 satoshi or even free, but when you move from one node into another node, that's when the routing fees will kick to high gear. So I decided to spend 1.5 million satoshis which now is consider a large transaction by bitcoiners, so I end up paying 6000 satoshis which was around $3.44, on-chain transactions were at that time around $10, so from multiple transactions I discover that routing fees around many node will not be cheap, and after researching I found out that a bigger node operator was saying that the fees on Lightning Network need to increase because he put $1m in Lightning liquidity and he only made like $20, so that means that the Bitcoin community will also be paying higher fees because node operators need to pay their bills as well.

Which means that you as the end user will have to pay higher fees in both networks and that one transaction in my example is not the only one on which I was charge more than $1 on routing fees, that one is the last that I decided was the one on which I had it, and I don't want to pay higher fees every time I want to use my money.

I just had it, I had enough and when I went and publish my experience on the zapread.com forum which is a Lightning forum, to complain, to be heard by others, I was met with a bigger disappointment that actually made my blood boil. I was told that a transaction of 0.0153 is a big transaction and that I should use "side-chains".

I just said to myself, what the hell, they taking me from don't use this, use that, I promise, it will be cheap, to sorry, I meant for you to use these instead.

Lie to me once, shame on you. Lie to me twice, shame on me, and if you lie to me a third time, my honest answer will be a middle finger, with some really bad words, I actually feel frustrated.

So bitcoin holders go like this, don't use first layer, use lightning network, sorry I meant side-chains, you know what just don't use Bitcoin at all. After all btc was never meant to be used because it is going to be too valuable to be spend at all.
