Posted: 11 Mar 2021 05:58 AM PST I've been in crypto for about 4 years and have been consuming a LOT of information along the way. Reading, listening podcasts, and to some extent watching videos. Especially the technical fundamentals don't come natural to me so even after reading so much, I am forced to partly trust others on the information out there. In a largely unregulated market, people can say what they want, even if it is for personal gains. This means trusting can be hard, especially when people all mainly seem to say the same things (I don't really have to give examples, do I). This sub is different: I read analyses in a different tone, different opinions and most importantly an open discussion without shutting 'other ideas' down immediately (shitcoin!). I guess I discovered this sub very late, but not too late. Thanks all, keep going! Edit: I'm not really a redditor for less than 2 weeks, but I do have a new account. [link] [comments]

bitcoin.com iOS wallet - where did "Sweep Paper Wallet" go??? Posted: 11 Mar 2021 09:10 PM PST Big BCH fan here. Ever since the Hern Rage-Quit I have been on board. Just like Ver, I have been working to get more people to understand not only "Digital Gold" but freeing the rest of humanity from government cohesion. This does not change that, but... WTF... what happened to "Sweep Paper Wallet" in the bitcoin.com wallet? I WANT them to take my money from gifts.bitcoin.com. The "Sweep Paper Wallet" option is GONE. ...it's not for me... i don't need more money. I need noobs to feel confident, not be confused. Every tip is give out is not meant to confuse. It is meant to reward, enlighten... not sure how I would redeem a gifts.bitcoin.com. Please fix this. Give people a fighting chance. I want crypto to win. I want BCH to win! [link] [comments]

Posted: 11 Mar 2021 06:11 AM PST Apparently someone made a post there about a project called Origin Trail which got removed without explanation. It looks like it was a bullish analysis/speculation post that tried to find models to apply to the price of the coin - maybe not reliable investment advice but certainly nothing out of the ordinary on that sub and many similar threads have stayed up. Someone made a post asking why it got removed, which again got removed with no response from the mods. [link] [comments]

Posted: 11 Mar 2021 10:48 AM PST At the time of the deal the BCH I had where valued on any market by at least 11850. Kraken, virgocx, Coinbase, you name it. These Bitcoin well guys wanted 3% extra from me and 3% from my car dealer. So he would only get 11500 and I would have to pay 3% extra. 3% on 11850 is 355.5 CAD so the total would be 12,205.5 I was okay with that. But 12205 CAD at that moment was about 17.5 BCH or something. They wanted 19.55 BCH, from me which I did not have (at least not on the laptop I had at the dealership). Turns out these guys wanted 3% from me, 3% from the car dealer and THEN would buy BCH from me at prices 15% under market (which they did not disclose in advance). And I get that BCH can drop 15% in transit but I have parket most of this in EUR in Kraken so I could have literally gotten them anything if needed, Ethereum, UDSC, USDT, whatever. Fuck we could have done this in dogecoin for all I cared. We could have used a stablecoin. Heck even a coinbase to coinbase internal transfer. But I assume these guys are only ever doing business with people that don't know anything about crypto, so they (Bitcoin Well) treated me like a total idiot and that pissed me off so much. Here is the conversation from my end. (Cause I was going to make a video about buying a car at a dealership and pay with Bitcoin Cash) I tried find another intermediate company but I failed. So right now I am just selling all my BCH for CAD and getting a bank draft and then buying the car with that. So BCH was only used for remittance, and part of the loan I got was done over BCH (and some other crypto). (my car is about 60% crytpoloan, 40% my own long term cold storage BCH) Well, I am going to enter a business relationship with these dealer guys, they are awesome. https://countryautosalescalgary.com/ But those bitcoinwell.com guys are greedy assholes that should be ashamed of calling themselves Canadian. No Canadian bank has ever tried ripping me off like these guys. There BTC ATM that's in the dealership quotes a BTC/CAD price that is 15% above market and they still make you eat all the network fees as well. So the most greedy people in society went straight in to Bitcoin Core and said to themselves: let's suck the rest dry. Let's get all their money. These guys are all the same. They really talk about lambo's all the time. SSeriouslynot a cliche. If you buy a 2015 Honda Civic you are not really a Bitcoin guy, cause Bitcoin means you would buy a lambo. I hate people like that and I will not associate with them. They are scum that prey and takes advantage of people that don't know anything about Bitcoin. Do you know in calgary how many times employee in stores need to run and save old people from depositing all those savings in to a BTC machine cause they fell for a call from a scammer pretending to be the CRA? Those Bitcoin Well guys don't understand it very well either. All they care is to make as much CAD as possible in a short as possible time and then just disappear like that Quadriga guy did. Well well well .... If feel bad for Canadians they hardly have good options, they are getting ripped of left and right. I sold my BCH over virgocx, I sold 17.86529717 and I am getting 12239.39 CAD on my account. (91.7954 CAD fee) If you want a ref code for virgo contact me, they still give both of us 30 CAD if we sign up I think. They are BCH friendly although I do need to get them to change the BCH logo from yellow to green and have them add cashaddr support. [link] [comments]

I believe I found 2 of /u/Contrarian__ sockpuppet accounts. Posted: 11 Mar 2021 08:37 AM PST I've had 2 accounts stalk and harass me over the last 2 weeks. When I dismissed one, soon another aggressively engaged with me using the same shitty arguments. I found it suspicious that they shared the same strawman viewpoints and same bad fallacies. Additionally they even went so far as to stalk me outside of /r/btc in subreddits that they never posted in which really set some flags off as to why they would do that... First I realized both of these 2 accounts were sharing the same fallacy saying that because Bitcoin Cash shares the genesis block it too has the 1st mover advantage like Bitcoin which led me to believe it's the same person using the same dumb argument. Even Bitcoin Maxi's don't believe in such a view on any level. Basically they argued that Bitcoin created in 2009 has the same 1st mover advantage as BCH created in 2017... because they share the genesis block. Complete strawman argument and obviously false but both accounts we're doing it. I have these 2 accounts using this broken argument.
.
Additionally I looked into both their post histories and quickly realized these 2 accounts are likely one and the same person as both accounts troll /r/btc, /r/samharris and /r/asktrumpsupporters . You know who else trolls in the 3 above subreddits and has a thing for harassing me? /u/contrarian__
I was wondering why /u/wholetthebeanssprout started aggressively stalking me and when I dismissed him then /u/milesfuckingdavis showed up right away. Coincidentally these 2 accounts have been harassing me the last 2 weeks and wouldn't you know it... /u/contrarian has inactive for 2 weeks. [link] [comments]
After minting a SLP NFT, I'm left with more questions than answers. Posted: 11 Mar 2021 01:31 PM PST
I learned the hard way that just because a wallet works with SLP tokens, that doesn't mean it will work with SLP NFT. So far the only wallet I've found that works with SLP NFT is Electron Cash SLP, and that only shows the link to the artwork instead of displaying it prominently. I tried sending the SLP NFT to signup.io, but even after fully confirming, the signup.io NFT wallet remained empty. Luckily I was able to save the SLP NFT from signup.io the same way I saved it from my Bitcoin.com wallet. Now, the prospect of sending the SLP NFT to a marketplace, like juungle.net, is daunting. Obviously I don't hold the keys to their wallets, so if for any reason the marketplace doesn't recognize the NFT like signup.io, I have no way of getting it back. What sounded like a cool idea and a way to help my brother market his artwork has become a headache (and a learning experience). I noticed juungle doesn't display their fee structure. I'm only assuming they have one. I'm really lost right now and my original intent was to spend today minting 1 of 1 SLP NFTs and introducing them to the market. Any and all knowledgeable advice would be greatly appreciated. [link] [comments]

Electron Cash SLP edition for iOS? Posted: 11 Mar 2021 04:32 PM PST The GitHub repository has a release for iOS, and I saw references about beta testing with TestFlight. Is this still happening? Can I try it out? I already have TestFlight installed, so this would be perfect. Is there a reason the SLP edition is not on the App Store? [link] [comments] |
