- To me, Bitcoin is a purely peer-to-peer electronic cash system. You can also call it sound money. But if it stops being cash or peer-to-peer, I couldn't care less about its branding (name and ticker), its PoW, and everything else. It simply isn't Bitcoin.

- Hi, my name is John and I am building xmrTo.cash, a clone of XMR.to, a dead simple way to convert BCH and XMR and send BCH to another BCH address "through" XMR. Looking for a front end dev and feedback.
- Warning: Please be careful using the "Shareable Link" feature on the Bitcoin.com Wallet. For unknown and undiagnosed reasons, I am having a 100% loss rate using this feature. My sends are being automatically and immediately "claimed" by an unknown. Until this is diagnosed, please be careful.

- Contact your local exchange and ask them to add USDT on Bitcoin Cash. Low fee USDT helps a lot of people priced out of USDT-ERC20 on ETH.

Posted: 06 Feb 2021 05:05 PM PST When BTC and BCH split the chain in two and started following different paths in August 2017, BTC decided to stop being peer-to-peer cash (by forcing a 1mb limit of transactions), while BCH decided to continue being peer-to-peer cash (by lifting the limit like Satoshi and every other bitcoin user intended from the beginning). That's why I say BCH is literally the original Bitcoin, and that's what I use as cash. A ticker or PoW won't let you transact freely with your peers, it won't make your transactions instant, free and reliable. A purely peer-to-peer electronic cash system will. [link] [comments]

Posted: 06 Feb 2021 05:29 PM PST I've been a long time BTC, BCH, ETH and XMR user and holder and feel like a BCH and XMR conversion service would be huge for the community. The site my partner and I are building does only TWO things. Coverts BCH and XMR (BCH <--> XMR) and lets users send BCH "through" XMR (BCH --> XMR --> BCH).
2) Yes, I am aware of sideshift.ai. These sites are great but serve a wide audience and are more general. They charge 1-2% in fees and take A LOT of time and effort to run. By specializing the back end can remain incredibly simple (in comparison) and we do not need to rely on outside exchanges, allowing us to offer any fee we want, planning on 0.25-0.5% since we are not splitting it with a larger exchange. 3) We are looking for someone to join out small team. I have some web development experiance and my partner specialize in back end development but we are looking for someone to help with the front end. Essentially a dead simple site much like xmr.to. We are building at xmrTo.cash. The site is not live yet but we are getting close to having a working prototype. 4) Please get in touch if you want to help or invest. We are looking for any thoughts, feedback or advice. Thanks so much, and BCH to the moon ;) Especially would love to get in touch with people like u/georgedonnelly, u/memorydealers, u/kimdotcom to ask if this is a project worth pursuing. Posted: 06 Feb 2021 03:12 PM PST edit: I am pretty sure that if you wait for 1 confirmation after creating the Link (just wait for BCH to find the next block) that the link will work. I just created a shareable link and when I click on it myself, it says no value in the address. But after waiting for a bit...the link worked. when I send someone link for the time being, I will wait first. This is a pretty bad user experience, but I hope I get word back that what ever the issue is has been fixed. [link] [comments]

Getting Out Of Big Tech Control Posted: 06 Feb 2021 07:19 PM PST We need a grass roots movement of all ages refusing to buy from any advertisers on FB, Twitter, etc. This is the only way we can impact them to stop sensoring and manipulating us while making billions off of us. It them in the pocket or just let them take more abd more of your freedom from you. We need an international movement along the lines of GME. Save your future put these above the law giants back under the same laws that apply to all. [link] [comments]
Why is Bitcoin worth anything? Posted: 06 Feb 2021 10:00 PM PST From my understanding, Bitcoin was worth something because it was used as an actual currency that was decentralized from banks. Now banks own shit tons of Bitcoin, and transaction fees are so high you can't even use it as a practical currency. So why is it even increasing in value, and what is its actual worth? Am I missing something? [link] [comments]
BCH Adoption strategy: Dispensaries Posted: 06 Feb 2021 12:05 PM PST Today a couple of completely unrelated reddit posts popped up with a common thread: marijuana dispensaries targeted for theft due to their dependence on cash. One an armed robbery, another was a smash and grab after allegedly targeting the owners. This seems like the perfect use case for Bitcoin Cash. A budding industry (pun intended) which has no support from the banking industry. Bitcoin cash can provide them another payment method which reduces their risk significantly without the burden of ridiculous fees. And the UX of bitcoin.com app is surprisingly good. I support the intention and direction of Bitcoin Cash and would love to see it get more widely adopted, though I don't personally own any. Has their been a coordinated effort to support Bitcoin Cash more broadly at dispensaries? If so, what barriers stood in the way...? [link] [comments]

When more BCH wallets with Cash Fusion support? Posted: 06 Feb 2021 02:15 PM PST There is one wallet I know of which can do it, and one service where you can send coins to have them shuffled.
Personally I wouldn't use a shuffling service because the point is that no-one else is supposed to know the coins came from you, so you need to trust sideshift on not keeping data or being hacked to exfiltrate such data on the low-down. Any other wallets that are actively working on Cash Fusion integration? [link] [comments]

Posted: 06 Feb 2021 11:47 AM PST So I try to open it...."no value found in this address". The $1 has been deducted from my wallet already - and the link we click on "no value found in this address" I had done a shareable link for $20 an hour ago with this exact issue. After a few times of trying - finally I was able to get my $20 back from the shareable link. Even though the first 2 attempts also gave "no value found in this address". Anyone have seen this? What is going on? How do you go from sharable link to something that I can check on a block explorer? edit: Ok...I am doing experiments with $0.02 shareable links. I am not even sending the links to anyone and they are getting claimed IMMEDIATELY. edit: I dont know if I have a virus on my phone or not. But every single sharable transaction I make, is claimed...and I am not even sending the link to anyone. and when I click on "see transaction in block explorer" - Transaction Not found. Can someone explain why "transaction is not found" [link] [comments]
