To all the new users: Beware of scams and trickery. Even well established crypto companies can mislead you, see: Binance.

Welcome to all. You're in an awesome space, but you need to be diligent. Most people in crypto are generally helpful, but many are motivated solely by money.

Binance is one of these groups. They've jumbled their withdrawal options to make their smart contract tokens be the most prominent option.

If I want to withdraw Ethereum, surely Ethereum should be the top one and not Binance chain's copy of Ethereum? Binance makes money when these are used, so they push them to the top.

If you withdraw your cryptocurrency onto the wrong chain, it is most likely lost forever. Be VERY careful when using Binance and using in crypto, you've been warned.

Doge led me here but only love can make me stay

    Posted: 29 Jan 2021 08:33 PM PST

Ok so I posted this on the CryptoCurrency Reddit but they were more focused on the morality and virtue of Crypto and were down on Doge in general so I want to try asking here:

Doge led me here but only love can lead me home

So Doge was my first foray into Cryptocurrency and I'm actually doing OK since I got in early. But Robinhood screwed everyone over as far as casuals investing and I starting investing in other cryptos. Looks like you can get somewhere in the average of 100% annual returns, maybe several hundred if you're lucky.

Way better than stocks annual 10%

So my question is, I know there's a large rally around Bitcoin, but would it make sense for this sub to periodically pick a new Bitcoin to rally around every 6 months? One that is sustainable and will actually help introduce newbies and the community gather initial gains. Maybe something like a 3-6 month rotation for different crypto currency focuses?

Am I understanding this properly? Is what I'm proposing even workable or feasible?

Edit: Also going to state that my experience with Doge led me to invest in 11 other cryptocurrencies that I'm currently tracking. This is why I think these types of campaigns serve as outreach and bring in new investors. Helping everyone in the crypto community.

    HONEST opinions on doge?

    Posted: 29 Jan 2021 07:35 AM PST

I've invested a bit of money into doge last night. Honestly all I'm seeing over TikTok, Instagram and Reddit are teenagers asking "where can I buy doge" etc. who seem to know very little about crypto/stocks (not shaming, I've only been investing in crypto & stocks since November but I think a lot of them are rushing into things & some, if not a lot of them will undoubtedly lose money). They're obviously just following what they're being told to do rather than actually researching themselves. I really really doubt doge will hit 1$ to be honest. Comments like "let's get doge to 100$" when it's not even at 10c at the moment make me cringe. What do you guys think?
