Thailand Immigration Could Accept Bitcoin Cash?

    Posted: 27 Dec 2020 01:41 AM PST

I have a friend who's a travel agent here in Bangkok, he works closely with people who operate the "Thailand Elite" visa company. They offer a 5-20 year visa to foreigners who are willing to pay 19k+ usd.

I asked him if they accept Bitcoin Cash / Crypto and he said "No but if there is enough interest they would consider it" - I think it was talked about a few years ago

    https://www.thai-elite.com/contact-us.html

I know many of you guys may never go to Thailand, but feel free to simply ask them if they'll start accepting Bitcoin Cash as a payment option.

If enough people ask, it may make a change. If they eventually did, it would make news in the bitcoin blogosphere and be bullish for BCH.

You'd be surprised what can be done simply by asking!

Using BCH for what can't be done with BTC. I had forgotten how awesome it is to be able to use Bitcoin as money.

    Posted: 26 Dec 2020 10:35 AM PST

Bitcoin Cash transfers on average more value than BTC, ETH, LTC & BSV. BCH is extremely undervalued!

At xmrTo.cash we are building an open source exchange that does ONE thing, trades BCH for XMR and vice versa. Looking for any thoughts, help or feedback.

    Posted: 26 Dec 2020 05:55 PM PST

At xmrTo.cash we are building an open source exchange that does ONE thing, trades BCH for XMR and vice versa. We chose to focus on the best digital CURRENCY and the best privacy coin for obvious reasons.

I am looking for any thoughts, help or feedback about the design and back end. We are building with the Django framework and modules for both BCH, BitCash and XMR, Monero-Python.

Using an SQLite database that stores only the users' email, deposit address, receiving address and price at the time of exchange.

So far only the basic site and outlines are complete but we are looking for help in making sure we get it right.

Please get in touch here, on Twitter or the BCH Telegram.

    Thanks!

BCH advocates: How and when to you foresee BCH eventually rising in value?

    Posted: 26 Dec 2020 09:52 AM PST

I keep seeing a lot of very strong minded posts about how BCH is supposedly superior to BTC. However for all the advantages BCH might very well have, it does not change the fact that BTC has kept going up, up, up in value, while BCH has stayed comparatively dormant since its inception. So if you're still very bullish for BCH after years of sideways trading, what factors do you presume would contribute to it finally rising up, to possibly even overtake BTC, and when do you imagine this would happen?

Beware of the splitting procedure scam!

    Posted: 26 Dec 2020 07:07 AM PST

    Hi everyone,

Yesterday I got scammed hard for the first time in something I never though would happen to me! I know some of you knew about this particular scam but I feel like warning everyone one more time! I was in a hurry, very tired and a little drunk actually and I wanted to finally split some of my coins before making a big transaction. Very unfortunate circonstances.

The fake site is this one : https://bitcoincashnodes.org/ and there is a link to a fake splitting procedure here https://bchnwallet.org/

The real one is this one, without the 'S' : https://bitcoincashnode.org/ and there are no link for splitting coins.

They also hijack one of Hayden's video for splitting the coins, replacing CoinEX procedure with their fucking fake wallet procedure.

Here is the fake video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfeRHw16WHs

    And Otto's real one here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBxfAG1Tm3c&t=83s

Youtube was reported this fake video but didn't take the step to ban it yet

Today I am truly disappointed of how I could possibly fell into this trap, and loose quite a big amount of my savings. Despite a big taste of disgust, and having slept on it (a little) I want to stay committed to the BCH endeavor and great purpose. Good luck everyone, and best wishes to you all!

Wrapped Bitcoin on Ethereum is doing some interesting volumes, can we wrap BTC aswell?

    Posted: 26 Dec 2020 02:28 PM PST

Ethereum transaction costs are increasing, and there is no solution to high fees until Ethereum 2 comes in some time. Can we wrap BTC on an SLP token and allow decentralized trading between Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Core? What other currencies can we wrap?

While BTC price may grab your attention, it doesn't change the fact that Bitcoin is a P2P electronic cash system. Unfortunately, BTC doesn't live up to this anymore

/r/cryptocurrency owner, jwinterm slips up and reveals admin collusion regarding the banning of BitcoinXio

    Posted: 26 Dec 2020 06:03 AM PST

Remember that time my account got repeatedly suspended until it was finally made permanent? Oh wait that was /u/BitcoinXio, moderator of the bcash subreddit lol. Good luck with your crusade.

    https://np.reddit.com/r/Wownero/comments/kk5ky5/this_is_a_scam/gh0lg0f

The thing is that temporary suspensions ("repeatedly suspended") on reddit are not known to anyone but admins and the user in question. Jwinterm is neither. Leaking of info like that is probably illegal in Europe under GDPR, but IANAL.

Now, let me make a prediction that will be easy to verify for Reddit admins - the same employee that banned BitcoinXio also handed over /r/cryptocurrency to jwinterm. Do you guys think it is a case of bribery? Monero that jwinterm seems to champion most can certainly afford it.

Discreet notification app (uses the pro CoinMarketCap.com API) - A good tool to have along other crypto helpers

    Posted: 27 Dec 2020 01:07 AM PST

CMC Alert is design to keep the users informed about different crypto stats and to see the price alerts - all in a simple way.

The app is using the official PRO API from CoinMarketCap.com, and here is why you should at least try it:

    • Discrete pinned mobile notifications, small and partially hidden

    • View notifications for all cryptocurrencies available on CoinMarketCap.com (8000+)

    • It's a lot faster than checking on coinmarketcap.com.

    • Can set normal price Alarms, or more 'aggressive' alarms' (optional) - perfect when you wanna wake up during nights

    • Can view prices in BTC/USD/EUR and other 89 fiat currencies worldwide

    • Can customize your portfolio and view notifications of your portfolio stats

Here is the Google Play link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.companyname.CMCAlert , and a demo screenshot: [https://imgur.com/a/0Vwc80x]

    Cheers!

Most reliable place to see the average BTC tx fee?

    Posted: 26 Dec 2020 01:42 PM PST

Especially in chart form. I see different sites reporting different figures. Is this one reliable: https://ycharts.com/indicators/bitcoin_average_transaction_fee

It seems like the fee will reach $100 at one point in 2021.

This is the key number which will cause BTC to shake and competitors to rise.

Do any of you ozzies know of any tradingview alternatives that track independent reserve?

    Posted: 26 Dec 2020 11:43 PM PST

As the title suggests I'm based in Australia and I'm thinking about investing and dabbling in a bit of day trading.

I saw that tradingview gives you the option to receive notifications when a crypto stock reaches a certain point- but independent reserve isn't one of their options.

Any recommendations for one that does include IR? Of course, if I'm going to be making a mistake going with independent reserve over the other Australian based exchanges, let me know
