BIOS Modding effects on gaming performance?

    Hey everyone,

I've got a couple new 5700 XT cards, and I'm new to the idea of BIOS modding. Currently, the cards are installed in my gaming PC, and I turn off the miner when I'd like to game (maybe 2 -3 hours 3 or so times a week).

I'm not dead set on using these cards for gaming- in fact, I was happier overall with the performance of my 1660ti... but I was curious what kind of impact on perfomance bios modding a card might have outside of the intended mining effects?

What may be some benefits to bios modding?

EDIT- I'm not necessarily looking for directions on *how* to mod them, but I guess I'm looking for risk vs benefit.

Hi, I have a different question, I'm trying to buy some graphics cards from the USA, but people are afraid to send them to me because I'm from a distant country in the EU. Can you recommend a cheap courier that has good prices for graphics card-sized products?

Ethereum Classic Thanos Hard Fork on November 28. How to Keep Mining ETC?

Ethereum Classic Hard Fork to Change Cryptocurrency Mining Algorithm.

Many mining software developers have already updated to support the fork. Plus, mining devices support the so-called auto-switch (they will automatically switch to the new algorithm).

Read the full post here for details.

    ETC Hard Fork

Here is a bat file for T-Rex for 2Miners pool. Autoswitch is supported thanks to fork-at etchash parameter.

    t-rex.exe -a ethash --coin etc -o stratum+tcp://etc.2miners.com:1010 -u 0x00192Fb10dF37c9FB26829eb2CC623cd1BF599E8.RIG_ID -p x -w rig0 --fork-at etchash=epoch:390 pause

Here are the settings for Gminer for 2Miners pool. It also supports auto-switch.

    miner.exe --algo etchash --server etc.2miners.com:1010 --user 0x00192Fb10dF37c9FB26829eb2CC623cd1BF599E8.RIG_ID

Here are the settings for lolMiner for 2Miners pool. Auto-switch is again supported.

lolMiner.exe --algo ETCHASH --pool etc.2miners.com:1010 --user 0x00192Fb10dF37c9FB26829eb2CC623cd1BF599E8.RIG_ID pause

Remember to replace the address with your own to receive rewards. All miners listed above support the auto-switch option. That means that you could set them up before the fork and they should continue mining after the work without any problems. This archive contains all the latest mining software versions. The archive password is 2miners (lower case, no spaces).
