Posted: 24 Nov 2020 08:03 AM PST So I recently got a used Zotac 1080ti amp extreme core edition. Card itself works great but I am slightly confused. I am using the pill +135 core +1000mem 215W PL (stable). When card starts it hashes at about 50mh/s but after about 30 mins -1 hour card slowly slows down and starts hashing at around 46mh/s but taking same power draw. The reason that I am so confused is that temps stay under 60C at around 30% fan speed. Am I doing something wrong or is it just the card? [link] [comments]

Posted: 24 Nov 2020 07:53 AM PST Would it make sense to start mining nowadays? I planned on getting 8 RX 570 8gigs but since ethereum isn't gonna be minable would it even be worth it profit wise? Would it make sense to start using Nicehash? I already used nicehash in the past and made about 60 dollars in a couple of months with a 1070 mining on and off at night. [link] [comments]

Hardware shops accepting bitcoin Posted: 24 Nov 2020 02:44 AM PST Are there any more good Europe based hardware shops like alzashop.com and overclockers.co.uk that are accepting payment with BTC ? [link] [comments]
Does auto-overclocking exist ? Posted: 23 Nov 2020 01:30 PM PST Hello all ! I am 99% sure this is a very naive question, but still ... maybe someone charitable could give some educationnal answer ;) I am wondering if it could be possible to have a software slowly tweak the GPU parameters (mem speed, clock speed, voltages, TDP, etc.) and try to find the best combination (only on hashrate, or on efficiency for example). each step could last 15~20 minutes to make ure the rig is stable .... but having a rig running 24/7, I'm pretty sure it's ok to go slow. Obviously, this piece of software would need to detect the hashrate (see if the change has any effect), the power consumption and detect if the system has crashed with previous parameters (and roll back). It would also need priorities. for example: on mining Ethereum, first increase the mem speed, then decrease the core clock, then lower the power consumption. Also, one could set a starting point and let the software do the final fine-tuning. ... it seems such a simple task and a very repetitive one as well. It sounds like something that could be automated. I've searched a bit, but clearly if it existed, I'm sure it would be popular and the word would get around pretty quick. [link] [comments]
RX 580 8GB Only hashing 9.3 Mhz Posted: 23 Nov 2020 08:33 PM PST After the Epoch 377 my claymore miner stop and I switched to Pheonix miner 5.2e. But no matter what I try I cannot get past 9.3 Mhz, my driver version is 20.11.2. I even tried different driver version but the results are the same. Any help? [link] [comments]
Posted: 23 Nov 2020 07:57 PM PST So I'm getting into mining and got a decent deal on a RX570 8gb and chucked it into my PC after doing some research on mixing AMD/Nvidia. However some issues have started to surface. My original plan was to have the Nvidia card be my gaming card while the 570 mines away making some passive profit with virtually no energy cost. Except they don't like eachother. Problem 1: If I set up my AMD card for mining and load up some games either A, they don't start (Black screen and then desktop) or they run and I'll get a blue screen in 15-30 minutes. Problem 2 (Not really a long term problem as I don't plan on dual mining but I've noticed it): if I set them both on a miner they run at regular hashrates, but I'll Bluescreen in less than an hour. Anyone know how to set up a part-time mining system I haven't made any progress in my googlefoo. (I've been mining on my RX570 stable for 5 hour increments before I shut it down. I've disabled my Nvidia card for the time being so it's not a faulty card) Hopefully I will be able to buy some more parts come black Friday to complete a seperate PC to run as a dedicated miner but if not I'll be stuck waiting for sales. NVIDIA P106-100 vs P106-090 6gb HASHRATE ISSUE Posted: 23 Nov 2020 05:05 PM PST Hi MINERS, I´ve got alot P106-090 6gb but they are hasing max 13mh/s with latest bios mod. Sould I flash the mod from Card with the for P106-100 or will I break it ? The seller showed me live the x2 hashrate from my. Any thought, how i can get mor mh/s? thx an advance redditors =9 Happy MINING [link] [comments]
Posted: 23 Nov 2020 10:04 AM PST i removed a sapphire rx580 from my rig. trying to sell it elsewhere. It was mining fine when I took it out and I put it into new PC with fresh win10 and fresh AMD driver. It has video but when I stress the GPU using passmark it BSOD's with thread stuck in driver. something with this GPU is not right. Any tips or tricks or should I just sell it as broken?
