All I want for Christmas is for Neo and Icon to go up

    Posted: 25 Nov 2020 01:22 AM PST

What do you think of these coins? Been holding since 2017. I still believe in them.

I already saw that the price started to go up. (icon is +50% this week).

I still think they are way underpriced, especially NEO.

PayPal and Square buy a lot of Bitcoin

    Posted: 25 Nov 2020 03:40 AM PST

The introduction of cryptocurrency services from PayPal and Square is proving to be very fruitful.

Both fintech companies are fueling demand for Bitcoin after opening up to millions of users to trade.

In fact, both companies have bought as much BTC as was mined, with PayPal clients buying about 70% of the new supply. (This snippet is taken from the CoinGecko daily newsletter)

Will my btc price prediction come true?

    Posted: 25 Nov 2020 12:29 AM PST

Hey guys, I wrote a thread around a year ago about an old newspaper I found from the 1950s which referenced Bitcoin. It obviously didn't have anything to do with Satoshi's creation but it provided some intriguing foreshadowing nonetheless.

I made a comment on the thread at the time with some predictions. I've hyperlinked it below. So you're saying there's a chance?

A few reminders for old and new alike

    Posted: 24 Nov 2020 01:47 PM PST

    1. Nothing is guaranteed. Market forecasting is speculation. Some of the older folks will remember all the times someone was calling market signals and mooning only for btc to crash to $8k the next day. Realize that right now, this is purely a speculative market. Don't invest anything you can't afford to lose. Don't count on luck to protect your finances. The crypto market is very emotional as, unlike a publicly traded company, there's no one pushing profits and sales to value the stock. It's purely supply and demand driven with market sentiment tossed into the mix.

    2. If you are an investor who intends to trade back to FIAT, securing your profits is never a bad thing. Sell some, guarantee your gains. Don't sell all, else you might lose out on future market gains. Don't sell none, as you'll be left empty handed if the market dips.

    3. If you don't own your keys, you don't own your coins. Crypto is not protected under FDIC or similar protections outside the US. If your coins are in an online wallet or exchange and they encounter a data breach or shut down, your coins go with them. I personally keep my coins on a hardware wallet with paper backups of keys in various geographic locations, only transferring to exchanges as needed to do a trade.

    4. Before committing to any large value buy, sell, or trades: Read the fine print of your chosen exchange CAREFULLY. Some will require extended verification for large transactions and trying to do such a thing on a new account might result in you getting flagged, and sending your funds into limbo.

    5. Reminder to keep track of your gains / losses for tax purposes. If you choose not to do this, any ramifications that result are on you. Whether you choose to do this or not is your choice and yours alone.

    6. Be educated, but don't be emotional. Lame alt-coins, poor performers dressed as your savior, and pump and dump scams are everywhere. Healthfully distance yourself from the crypto market. Many a fellow has found themselves depressed and refreshing market values as you would pull on a slot machine. This also goes back to point 1: Don't invest anything you can't afford to lose, don't count on your investments for your life finances. Pay your food, your rent, your bills, your insurance, your savings, your school, your sons and daughters future, THEN you may dabble on crypto.

Be well, be safe, be sane, and may the market be ever in your favor.
