BTC is for fiat lovers, BCH is building peer to peer electronic cash! Posted: 07 Nov 2020 03:46 PM PST Opinion Whatever people say BTC hasn't made real progress in several years. Core aspects of its utility were deliberately broken. New advertised solutions to those problems are long roads to nowhere. This project is basically a trampoline since 2017 for former wall street traders and others to play USD/BTC. Meanwhile the US dollar, well just look at it. The fake news with their "X says bitcoin is a failure, Y says bitcoin will go to $100k" garbage all the time. I believe my dirty socks will go to $200k. The ongoing reality with this project is: "BTC Pumps as Fed confiscates BTC." Like everything beautiful what happened was the insecure and ugly people came over to wreck it. Bad actors got involved online even before 2013 and distortion narratives were being conceived and supporting factors were being planted by then. As it turns out it was not hard to take BTC after Gavin was out of the way. Some of the biggest gangsters on earth were involved though, I am sure they used the usual methods. I don't think we forget the whole Gavin thing. About Craig Wright I know he has been categorized but what I think happened is probably dirtier than most people guess (that's my take). Greg's frequent involvement is a major clue. My view is Craig may actually have some perspective but the thing is he is owned. As a patsy it turns out he wasn't needed for the taking of BTC then he later activated in the failed coup against Bitcoin Cash and ultimately parked over at BSV. Bitcoin Cash effectively had to start over in 2017. What I think happened here was, VIP hires dev to prepare client because there was something funny about all that Segwit malarkey and VIP was not fooled at all by it. That mission got accomplished. The new weenies behind BTC raged and start pulling all stops. Bitcoin Cash community handles ongoing full frontal attacks pretty well actually. A more conventional obstacle occurs when the dev with new status with big potential embraces community without really understanding it, and has own ideas. About to be demoted. Bitcoin Cash is still impressive. I think it's the best, live triple entry ledger available today. Sometimes I think maybe the wool is being pulled over everybody's eyes just until new implementations from the banks can be put forward. BCH is still world changing and the massive potential user base is still out there every day. People will re-learn the importance of good money real fast when their money becomes bad money. How long will it take a 1.66 sat/byte tx to go through Posted: 07 Nov 2020 12:06 PM PST I withdrawed some btc from an exchange but the exchange only posted 1.66sat/byte for the the following tx https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/60157898fe8902f9d7979cd67511567ac9139b8ff391540bd0f39cf189d44aaa How long will it take to process? Thanks for the help so far everyone. According to https://mempool.space/tx/60157898fe8902f9d7979cd67511567ac9139b8ff391540bd0f39cf189d44aaa it should get processed in the next 2 blocks. I will check if this is the case. Edit: Nvm, the above keeps getting delayed because of new txs. Hopefully, a lot of blocks are mined in quick succession so my tx goes through. Edit2: Going to bite the bullet and use viaBTC tx accelerator. Paying with BCH btw :) Edit3: Final tally, 0.65 BCH used for the tx accelerator. Edit4: The tx has been accelerated and confirmed. Final lesson is to use BCH. Also, will probably use BCH or ETH next time havn't used BTC in so long forgot how bad it is. [link] [comments]

Timing of Silk Road BTC movements, Tether go BRRRR, and USG regulatory pressure on exchanges Posted: 07 Nov 2020 08:32 PM PST Has anyone else noticed all of the US government activity around BTC lately? First, exchanges are getting hammered: Bitmex execs got disappeared , Binance got outed for their "Thai Chi corporation", and Bitfinex is taking more and more heat from the NYAG. The $1 billion Silk Road coins were seized by USG, but they won't say who "Individual X" is. All of this with a backdrop of huge ongoing BTC mempool bomb (reminiscent of November 2017 when BTC pumped and dumped from $20k->$3k) and a huge Tether pump ($700+ million this month alone, again similar to 2017). It almost feels like "she's ready to blow"... [link] [comments]
Claiming BCH (and BSV) from Trezor in advance of fork Posted: 07 Nov 2020 08:21 PM PST I moved my original BTC some time ago (post fork), but it appears that Trezor may have removed their original coin splitting tools. I have also looked at guides and even attempted to install Electron Cash on an old Raspberry Pi 2 (I think 32 bit is not compatible). Additionally, my BCH addresses do not "appear" in Trezor despite the (BTC) addresses existing pre fork, so I can't send the unsplit coins or tainted BCH anywhere. Are there any wallets compatible with Trezor where I might be able to sign and split/move my coins? I really would like to avoid buying new hardware and messing with Electron Cash, if possible. And ultimately, my goal would be to convert BSV to BCH within the next week but honestly I fear that my coins will continue to be readily inaccessible for another few years. Any suggestions for the non-savy? [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Nov 2020 01:46 PM PST Bisq is a peer-to-peer trading network on top of Bitcoin. It's software you run on your own hardware, not a website run by someone else. Due to Bitcoin's high fees and long wait times it would be really hard for the average user to purchase some Bitcoin or other altcoins. I am willing to bring together a group of developers to work on a Bisq clone on Bitcoin Cash. We can do a flipstarter to gather funds. Please comment down below for suggestions and if you wanna help!
