People are literally dying around the world due to a lack of economic freedom. BCH can help bring more economic freedom to the world.

BCHA sent via BCH in ElectronCash finally made it to CoinEx after a week...

    Posted: 29 Nov 2020 08:48 PM PST

I'm guessing this is a function of all the empty blocks on BCHA mined lately but also because of the nLockTime coding of ElectronCash, correct?

Is there any way to fix that on a future transaction? i.e. move BCHA quicker now that's it's being mined but still behind BCH?

    Thanks

Is there a Bitcoin cash wiki?

    Posted: 29 Nov 2020 09:31 AM PST

I find it hard to present Bitcoin cash to new people. It would be great to have a web page or a wiki which contains all information or hyperlink related to bitcoin cash for example:

-A list of app/wallet built for BCH with a small description

-A list of people involved with a small description and maybe their twitter or other social media account

    -Some technical aspect of BCH

-Some important topic like the zero conf stuff, censorship, LN, why it forked few time

    -A FAQ

-A list of project done, in dev or looking for funding, with github links

    -etc...

I'm sure all of us have tons of link in our bookmarks, it would be great to put everything in one place like a wiki. Something easy to read for noobs.

Is there a web page like that somewhere? The goal is really to simplify the communication with people when presenting BCH.

Unfortunately ASERT is not fulfilling it's promise. I was excited about the upgrade, looking forward to move all-in in BCH but two weeks after the upgrade I see absolutely no change in block times behavior.

2-3 blocks per hour, 60-90 mins between blocks, and then 10 blocks in 20 minutes, it's still a regular occurrence and today was the worst day yet, where we had 47!!! blocks in 84 minutes . This is even worse than 37 in 1 Hour which I posted about and that was before ASERT upgrade.

This is a big letdown for me.

    Has Bitcoin Cash disappointed you?

    Posted: 30 Nov 2020 01:47 AM PST

    Just curious.
I remember the split from Bitcoin because of an ideological difference was very acrid. Based on how the price action of BTC and BCH since the all-time-high of Dec-17, how satisfied/disappointed are you with BCH? If given a chance to redo the whole thing, what would you do differently? Would you have decamped BCH entirely?

Do you think BCH has vindicated itself?

Observations on the Price Effects of a Fork

    Posted: 29 Nov 2020 04:09 AM PST

Observed law: The amount the token price drops in light of a fork seems to be proportional to the success (price and hashrate) of the chain that splits off.

    Some examples:

    • In the case of Bitcoin SV, BSV was more "successful" (price and hashrate) than BCHA. As such, BSV "took more value" from Bitcoin Cash than BCHA did.

    • Before the BSV fork, BCH was actually 400-600 dollar range. After the fork, the price of BCH dropped considerably. I'd argue the BCH price still hasn't fully recovered from this split.

    • In contrast to this, BCHA was a very unsuccessful fork (low price and low hashrate). As such, BCHA caused a smaller drop in price to Bitcoin Cash. BCH was also much quicker to recover from it, price-wise.

    • I believe this same "law" applies with the original BTC and BCH split as well.

    Conclusion:

From an economic point of view, this is why it's important to avoid forks and also why it is important to actually dis-incentivize them from happening.

ELI5 How to maneuver last fork

    Posted: 29 Nov 2020 02:57 PM PST

I have an old paper wallet pre-any forks, and am really trying to understand the most recent BCH/BCHA fork. Where is the best place to learn the plain facts about this most recent fork and how to handle it? I'd rather not wade through opinions and biases. I would also like to know where I can find correct tickers and prices?

    Thanks
