Is there any way to dedicate a second gpu on my pc to just mining? Posted: 01 Oct 2020 08:19 AM PDT Assuming I got the power to spare on my home PC, can I make a second gpu do nothing but mine? Would it be easy for me to switch between which gpu I'm using for myself and which is just mining? [link] [comments]

Where do I find a mining power supply? Posted: 01 Oct 2020 12:31 AM PDT Everywhere I look for a 1000w + power supply, I have to pay over $300. That's ridiculous. I payed $102 for a Corsair Hi 1200w power supply last year. Now all power supplies seem to be over priced and I don't know if I can trust some used power supply off eBay. Anyone have any ideas? (I run 120v) [link] [comments]

Set power consumption to -50% for RX 5700 Posted: 30 Sep 2020 11:06 PM PDT I have around 50mh/s with one 5700 on default settings. Now when I change power consumption to -50% on the AMD Radeon interface it decreases to 48mh/s. Will it hurt GPUs doing that? I have very high electricity costs (0,35$). [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Sep 2020 08:32 PM PDT I have been interested in cryptocurrency for a while and think it's an awesome idea, and I'd like to start mining. The problem is, I feel like so many people are already doing it and I'm not sure how much I'll get out of it. May somebody provide some feedback? Note: I have a 450W power supply and free electricity. Thank you all! [link] [comments]

Posted: 30 Sep 2020 06:49 PM PDT I have a RTX 3080 that wants to run 930ish to 1050ish MHz core while mining despite being set to a constant 1150MHz @ 0.7V in afterburner. This is decreasing my hashrate from about 101MH/s to 93 MH/s. I'm thinking this probably has something to do with P states, I tried turning off the CUDA Force P2 State in nvidiaprofileinspector, but no luck. Memory seems to be running at my desired fullspeed of +1000MHz (21gbps) [link] [comments]

Posted: 30 Sep 2020 12:14 PM PDT So I was moving my small mining rig to a different room, and when I hook everything back up, I get a problem. Only the cpu fan spins, the gpu and psu fans do not spin, and no output from gpu. I have tried just hooking it up normally, (no pcie risers, just a single gpu), I've tried a different psu, different ram, different gpu, I do not have a extra cpu laying around so I cant troubleshoot that. Is it the motherboard? (My motherboard is the gigabyte ga h110 d3a). And feedback would mean alot, thank you. [link] [comments] |
