TeamRedMiner, couple of questions regarding temps and card settings Posted: 30 Oct 2020 06:47 AM PDT Dear Miners, OS is Windows 10, cards are PC 5600XT. I just switched to TRM. I see, that there is a TMem parameter available, which shows current memory temperature. Is there a possibility, to control the fan speed using this parameter with TRM? Second case is, previously I used Claymore, and was able to control vcore, mem speed etc. It warked exactly how it supposed to. From what I understand, in TRM there is no such feature? For parameters mentioned above I started using OverdriveNTool, and almost everything works with this tool beside vcore regulation. Anything that I set is immediately overwritten by "something". Standard vcore is lets say 950mV, after setting with OverdriveNTool 700mV for each card, voltage goes to ~750mV and not less. For each card this value is different (700, 753, 765, ~740). I used DDU, removed everything, installed new drivers without "Software" and still I'm not able to lower (nor rise) the vcore. My sollution for that was to change the BIOS minimum for 700mV and maximum for 705mV. Now it works, but it was a drastic solution. What am I doing wrong? Thanks! [link] [comments] | ||
Help with my rig crashing!!! X5 5700 XT (sapphire, Win 10) Posted: 29 Oct 2020 08:25 PM PDT Hi guys I need some help, I have a mining rig with 5 GPU's (5 5700 XT sapphire Nitro +). My problem is basically, the more cards I add to my rig is the less stable my rig becomes. I'm mining in a Windows 10 environment with Phoenix miner. At 5 cards the same Wattman profiles I used with 2 or 3 cards no longer work but instead a GPU will fail and crash my system forcing me to restart. Additionally all cards run fine on their own, so I'm struggling to identify what might be causing this issue. Some kind of bandwidth issue!? I just don't know. Any help is welcomed. several of my mining rigs are hard-crashing simultaneously - wtf is going on? Posted: 29 Oct 2020 05:22 PM PDT This is nuts I've never seen anything like it. Some details about my configuration below. Each rig is configured the same way:
I'm hitting a hard, and irrecoverable crash. Not only does the system reboot, but it is happening SIMULTANEOUSLY on all 3 rigs. And not only that, but I can't seem to recover without reinstalling the OS, because even after rebooting, when I try to log into ubuntu, I see a "there was a system error" dialog box and then shortly after that my session ALSO crashes and I get kicked back to the login screen. Login again, and crash back to login screen. Fatal loop. This first happened yesterday and I completely reimaged each rig, and now it happened again today. So I need to do something different this time. [link] [comments] |
