6800/xt and 6900xt officially launched. Hashrate predictions? Posted: 28 Oct 2020 09:31 AM PDT AMD just announced Big Navi. What do you guys think? Seems to me the 6800 non ex will be the best buy assuming it may be possible to flash the bios like with the 5700 to xt flash. Over 100mhs? who knows. [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Oct 2020 05:13 PM PDT Phoenixminer -arguments not working Ubuntu 18.04 Hi Guys, I'm a newb at Ubuntu, but coming along slowly. My expertise is in Cisco Networking and Voice so I don't have much experience with Linux. I'm trying to migrate from Windows10 to Ubuntu and I'm finding that the arguments from my bat file don't seem to be working in Ubuntu. Is there something I'm missing here to get the arguments to be read? It's weird that it takes the wallet and pool arguments and ignores the rest. I've also tried putting the arguments in the config and dpools files and just running the miner without any arguments. I've edited the arguments so they appear not as one line here, but they are all one line in the script or when I run them from CLI. [link] [comments]
Single GPU portable miner (space heater) Posted: 28 Oct 2020 11:25 AM PDT Forget maximizing efficiency with 20 GPUs on a single mobo for a sec: There's been a few use cases where I wished I could get a single GPU to mine but without a full tower. Example - a room that's too cold, but a 6 card rig would fry the place. Also, rooms where it needs to be hidden aesthetically. Anyone aware of projects for "minimalist" rigs? For example a single GPU run by a RasPi if you could figure out how to get the GPU to run fully on auxiliary power (b/c normally you get at least 60 or 70 watts form the mobo). I'm guessing this is a non-starter from the PSU alone since by the time you have several hundred watts of PSU you may as well go ATX case but I thought I'd ask. Thanks for any input!
