Legacy Governance models are outdated and ineffective. The boom in DeFi Governance tokens is bringing innovations that transform political power and strengthen community autonomy.

How you can help accelerate Ethereum adoption

    Posted: 17 Sep 2020 01:04 PM PDT

    The problem:

Blockchain is not understood well by 99.9% of the population. It's very difficult to learn about because it is so complex and abstract.

This causes the majority of people to ignore it altogether.

This means new apps have fewer users, the industry isn't as big, there's less investment to fund development, infrastructure won't be as mature, and adoption will take longer.

We all want to hasten the adoption of decentralized technologies as fast as we can.

There is a need for more outreach to mainstream society.

    A solution:

Fund ads for my newsletter on Reddit and FB

I run a newsletter that explains the basics of blockchain in 1-minute posts. It's non-shilling, tech-focused, and written for beginners.

An example is my latest, very well-timed post: Why protocols > companies - an overview of Uniswap

It's usually well-received around here, but my main focus is to reach out to people outside of crypto.

I would love to get it in the hands of more people but I have limited resources to promote it.

With some funding I'd be able to reach a much wider audience.

It would be nice if people logging onto /r/investing had a small introduction to blockchain as well.

I think a lot of people want to learn but don't know how to get started.

I plan to use the majority of funding to purchase ads.

Ads are a good candidate for funding because they're tangible, specific, and narrow in scope.

I think this campaign will help accomplish my goals of awareness, exposure, and education.

If you'd like to support this effort, leverage up your donation with Gitcoin, and help accelerate Ethereum adoption, here's the link:

    Thank you!

PSA: Don't forget to check all the wallets you've used to interact with Uniswap

    Posted: 17 Sep 2020 12:58 AM PDT

Some of you guys, much like me, may have aggregated all your funds onto a Ledger, or other wallet, at some point in the past.

If that's the case, don't forget to check all the other wallets you've used to interact with Uniswap if you want to ensure you claim all your UNI.

CHI gas token is the 10th largest gas guzzler on ethereum

    Posted: 17 Sep 2020 02:34 AM PDT

    Source: https://ethgasstation.info/

CHI is a gas token by 1inch.exchange that exploits gas refunds in order to trade gas. Create junk contracts or use up storage on ethereum when gas price is low and free them up to earn a refund when gas price is high. You can also tokenise this gas, allowing it to be traded if you do not want to use it yourself.

CHI is the 10th largest gas guzzler on ethereum (trading gas tokens consumes gas too), placing it ahead of the likes of USDC, Curve, Balancer, Aave and Kyber.

This is only likely to further increase until the gas market reaches efficiency. So you can choose to park gas at any time, and release it when gas prices spike. These spikes will continue to happen until we reach efficiency, including just yesterday when Uniswap launching their governance token (UNI).

What Would Be Your Ideal DeFi Programming Stack?

    Posted: 17 Sep 2020 12:14 PM PDT

Hello folks, this questions is for those of you building DAPPS.

I do see the DeFi space as the most exciting area in crypto today, and I am thinking of building one. However, the choices in the programming stack are so many that decisions are hard to take.

What would you recommend as the ideal stack to start a brand new DeFi project:

    - Programming Language? JavaScript, TypeScript, ClojureScript or ReasonML?

    - Contract Language? Is Solidity it, or do people use Vyper?

    - Cloud Servers. AWS or Azure?

    - Mobile App. React Native, Flutter or straight to native Swift/Kotlin?

Any other tools you would consider would also be most appreciated.

    THANKS.
