Innovation on the ethereum block chain Posted: 29 Sep 2020 05:37 PM PDT I have a revolutionary idea for an ERC-20 decentralized finance token. I have a finance and accounting background but lack the computer skills to code a contract. How does somebody like myself go about meeting a team of devs who want to talk about doing a project? How to easily process a delegated transaction? Posted: 29 Sep 2020 11:36 AM PDT My users have ERC-20 tokens but no ETH on their wallet (mostly from airdrops). So I started looking for a solution that would allow them to transfer the tokens to me while I cover the ETH fees, so that I can offer them more services such as exchange the tokens for ETH or other crypto. --- From what I've found, this is possible and it's called "delegated transaction" or "meta transaction". But I only found articles (such as this) that recommend creating a smart contract, then the sender has to call the contract method, the fee payer needs to sign the transaction, ... It's just not really user friendly and frankly, a bit complicated for me to set up. Is there an easier way? Maybe already running contract that has been tested? Or some kind of service where I'd prepay ETH for fees and then just have the sender open a page, submit the amount of tokens and sign with their Ledger/Trezor/privkey? [link] [comments] | ||

When will ethereum mining stop working? Posted: 29 Sep 2020 02:18 AM PDT I could have sworn that I read somewhere that during the switchover to ETH2 mining was going to change, where a percentage of the mining would go to miners and a percent to staking, but now after a couple of hours of trying to find where I read that, not only did I not find it but I also could find nothing at all about when mining would actually stop working, or what happens on the day it does, or how to sell existing coins, or anything that would give me actual practical information to plan on the upcoming change. All I could find were either repetitive rudimentary explanations of what PoW vs PoS is, or why it's going to happen, or what the roadmap looks like (again, without any details of how things will actually play out), or speculations on what will happen to the price, yadda yadda yadda etc etc and so on. Is it going to go from "mining works fine, we're good" to "damn, nothing is happening" at the flip of a switch? If so, do we know when, as in, do we even know which phase this is happening in? Find Someone Else's Exchange Balance Posted: 29 Sep 2020 08:59 AM PDT Hey I am looking to find out how much ETH someone else might have on an exchange, is that possible? It's Kraken specifically. This is the ETH wallet address I know is related to them. Can see the Kraken withdraws. https://etherscan.io/address/0x0d43906566358b9b3513090c18db5a334bda7f92 Thanks in advance!
