Is backup cold storage wallet recommended? Posted: 17 Sep 2020 11:16 PM PDT Sorry in advance for the dumb question but I've searched all over and have found conflicting answers.... I want to start investing in Bitcoin and the general consensus is that cold storage wallets are the safest way to store your coin rather than on a trading platform like Coinbase for example. I've also seen that people recommend buying 2 cold storage wallets, Ledger X and Ledger S seem to be popular and for the most part trustworthy. Am I correct in that assumption that you should buy one main one and one backup? So buy a Ledger X as my main and Ledger S as the backup? Some comments I read people said you only need one... What's the safest way to go? Is buying 2 overkill? Any insight would help. [link] [comments]
How to access a dead family member's bitcoin? Posted: 17 Sep 2020 07:52 PM PDT Posting this for my friend as she doesn't have reddit. My friend's dad passed last month from leukemia, rather unexpectedly as he took a rapid turn for worse. He had a lot of money in bitcoin, and she has no idea how to access it. We're completely lost here. Anyone have any pointers? [link] [comments]

Posted: 17 Sep 2020 11:54 PM PDT Trying to buy something online with btc and at the checkout it says.. Please complete the following steps prior to completion of payment: • DO include your Miner's Fee. Absence of applicable fees may result in a failed transaction. • DO send proper cryptocurrency to respectable wallet (Example: BTC to BTC). • DO NOT send more than one payment per order transaction. • DO complete your transaction within the 10 minute window. • DO NOT underpay or overpay the invoice. Cryptocurrency payments may require valid photo ID and matching address verification (we will contact you if required). Seems a bit much don't ya think?? Make me wanna use fiat but I don't want to. Like how much is the miners fee? Transaction is roughly $600 [link] [comments]
