Posted: 07 Aug 2020 11:35 AM PDT After checking out jochen-hoenicke mempool there certainly is all manner of tx fees from 1 sat/byte clear up to hundreds of sat/byte in every block, despite each block clearing out the entire mempool just fine. Am I missing something? Unless Jochen's mempool is that much out of whack with the rest of the network, I don't get why even 2sats/byte is necessary at all. Thanks for any clarification. Not sure that people care about financial privacy so much Posted: 07 Aug 2020 04:24 AM PDT If that was the case, the Monero price would not have had such a poor price performance from the beginning of the year. Same for the other privacy coins. DeFi tokens had a much better performance, which indicates that people care more about making money than hiding it. So i think the Charlie's choice to go the privacy route was not the most popular one. I like privacy from an ideological point of view, and i am sure it is a very valuable and necessary feature for the people, but they don't know it or they don't care. That's why i am afraid it will not benefit the coin price that much. [link] [comments] |
