Posted: 28 Aug 2020 07:51 AM PDT Good day, I am looking to build my first mining rig with 2 Vega 64 and 1 Vega 52 (vega64 bios flashed). I pay about $0.12/kWh at my home where I'll set up the miner. I was thinking of mining etherium for now. What do you guys think? Is this a good idea for a new miner ? [link] [comments]
Really noob question ... TYIA. Posted: 28 Aug 2020 06:52 AM PDT The power connector on the back of my PSU is different from others. It's the 1600w rosewill hercules. I have ran several Nema 6-20p 240V outlets , they work great for my other miners. just need to know the name of the connector on the back of the rosewill unit. I think I found one item that may work.... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DCVSC5G/ is this the item I need? c19? looks like this https://www.interpower.com/ic/InfoPower/iec-60320-c19-c20.html but I am not 100% what it is. rosewill / newegg customer service is useless. been asking since beginning of the month. Probably cheaper to just hack up my cable and put an end on it but I'd prefer to keep the unit whole for resale. it runs in 120v mode, I would just prefer 240v, kinda the whole point for efficiency lol. thanks in advance. Learning about mining. Can my rig do it? Posted: 28 Aug 2020 06:11 AM PDT I have an i5 6600k oced @ 4.5ghz, 1660ti, 600W power supply, can my pc mine eth or btc? How much will I make if I run it for 10 hours for example? (excluding electric costs) [link] [comments]
Can't get my RX580's core voltage lower than .95mv in afterburner Posted: 27 Aug 2020 11:34 PM PDT Hey, Recently built a 8x Sapphire RX580 Radeon rig for Ethereum mining. I got everything set up, mining, stable, 218Mh on WIndows 10. I am able to pull the core voltage down to 950, which is showing .95mv on each card, however I can not go any lower than that. The slider goes down to 800, which I am assuming would be .80mv on each card. My hashrate has not even begin to suffer, so I would like to pull more power from the cards, and reduce my consumption even more, however once I go past the 950 mark, nothing changes. I can put in 900, and it shows that setting in afterburner, but GPUZ is still showing .95mv, any ideas as to why? Thanks! [link] [comments]
