Posted: 27 Aug 2020 04:56 AM PDT I'm trying to uniswap and I paid 2.09 in gas fees and the transaction says "fail" on etherscan... (our of gas) did I lose that gas money? Now when I try to do the uniswap again the gas fee is almost $9.00 for a 10 dollar swap? What is happening, why is gas so much for a 10 dollar swap? [link] [comments]

Solution to client diversity problem? Automatic client switching possible in ETH 2? Posted: 27 Aug 2020 06:22 PM PDT If the option to choose you're client is left to the people we will continue to have client centralization, just like we have now. What I would like to see is the Ethereum Foundation release a "master client" that contains the top 5 clients all in one, that automatically balances the load of each client on the fly for perfect client diversity. Of course the issue here is you are forcing people to use a client they might not totally trust.... So the Ethereum Foundation will need to provide security audits for all clients and maybe create a small team to stay on top of each release. This way people actually trust that each client is equally as good as any other. [link] [comments]

I can't lose more than max gas price right? Posted: 27 Aug 2020 12:30 PM PDT Hi guys, Pretty sure I know the answer to this question but I can't lose more gas than the max gas price correct? I sent this transaction a couple days ago to get some remaining coins and still hasn't gone through: https://etherscan.io/tx/0xac40db2eac5f63be1e504dcaf97bf10f7d64933b93a985cf6c3fdbe1185bd106 [link] [comments]

Posted: 27 Aug 2020 01:30 PM PDT I'm used Jaxx to send some Ether and the transaction has been pending for 14hr. This wallet does not support cancel or accelerate with more gas. Any suggestions on what I should do? TIA [link] [comments]

Posted: 26 Aug 2020 06:39 PM PDT I dabbled in mining btc, eth and other alt coins from 2013-2015. I had only briefly mined but in that time I mined 5eth. I only realized it the other day when I opened my local etherum program for haha's and saw a flash of 4.97 BTC, then the wallet app updated and then it was gone. I checked my records in a folder I kept with all the various mining programs and wallets and found an address with 4.97 ETH. https://etherscan.io/address/0x473250a57f1b40be3295baae25a2e8fbe734ba12 I've tried opening the wallet software but am getting a checksum error about get 1.8.23 but all the solutions say to just drop geth in that Users\XYZ\AppData\Roaming\Ethereum Wallet\binaries\Geth\geth-windows-amd64-1.8.23-c9427004 folder and it should open. It does not. To see if it's even possible and save time, was wondering if anyone could help me retrieve this? I'll even let you remote control on a zoom and give a fair cut. Hell, 50/50 for all I care. Forgive me if this is the wrong place to post and I will delete and post elsewhere if notified. [link] [comments]
