[Paper] Biosample permission token with non-fungible tokens Posted: 16 Jul 2020 01:08 PM PDT Hello r/ethtrader. I am reaching out to share an article I wrote with Daniel Uribe to show how Ethereum and (you guessed it) non-fungible tokens can be used to model permissions/consent for biosamples usage. The technology used is simple. Very simple. The business case and use case are a just little more complicated, so I made a video to explain that. PAPER: https://fulldecent.blogspot.com/2020/07/biosample-permission-token-with-non.html VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=su5eWYnRN24 During workshops, I frequently see questions like "how do I record copyright on blockchain?" and how do I make a token to collect royalties on a real-world product?" The answer is that you record your intentions on blockchain and you enforce your commitments using contracts in meatspace protected under various legal jurisdictions. Here's a first time "on stage" in a while since all flights are on delay, and I am happy to be out and building & teaching again. I'm around, please share your thoughts or questions and I'll get back to you. This effort is sponsored by GenoBank.io. [link] [comments] | ||
