    Offline light blockchain copy for forensics analysis

    Hi everyone,

    I'm reasearching about the ethereum blockchain and I wanted to know if there is a way of downloading a part of the blockchain to make a forensic analysis. Also I wanted to know if there is any software with this capability out of the box, or if I must develope it from scratch.

    What I want to do is to download the latest 20K blocks to analyse the input-data of the trasactions within them to find patterns that would link to some readable data.

    Does anybody know about this? Help would be really appreciated! Thank you very much, and have a nice day!

    Just listened to the new Unchained episode with Vitalik. Is it just me or is she just desperately trying to get a negative spin on everything ETH? I liked her podcast but repeatedly got the impression she is drifing into BTC maxi territory.

    MEW trying to exchange with crazy low gas fees?

    Hey,

    So I thought I'd try out MEW to manage my ERC20 tokens and really liked the look of the exchange integrations. As a test, I tried swapping 0.1 ETH using the DEX.AG exchange and checked out the resulting TX on etherscan. I was surprised to see the gas fee set at 41 gwei (I don't recall it giving me an option to customise gas fee). FYI the minimum safe fee on etherscan gastracker was 66/67 gwei.

    Needless to say the TX is now stuck (along with many other TX's - it seems some have been stuck heading out to the contract for several weeks).

    Is this intentional - did I make a mistake on my part, or is this a problem with MEW/DEX?
