High temperatures are dangerous virtually to any kind of devices, and GPU rigs are not an exception. In the summertime, the risk increases along with the temperature. Hive OS can help your rigs to get through the hot times.

I made free miner monitoring service

    Posted: 08 Jun 2020 11:26 PM PDT

Recently I've decided that I want to make web miner monitoring software (minerfusion.com), for personal use and choosed to share it. I wanted to have big charts and really simple interface. Project is now operational and is free so if you have some time why not give it a shot.

Right now I support few different miners:

    • Claymore
    • Phoenix
    • NBMiner
    • LolMiner
    • TRexMiner

    Basic features include:

    • Email notifications that you can adjust to your preference
    • Hashrate, Hashrate per gpu, Shares per gpu, Temp per gpu info and charts
    • Browser tab title with current hashrate
    • Frequent miners updates

To run it you need to download and setup open source desktop app and hook up your rigs to it. In next few weeks I'll be gradually adding support for another miners.

I tested weather everything is working correctly, but of course this software is still fresh and ocasional bugs and errors can occur.

If there would be any interest in this I also could create some mobile app that would allow for push notifications besides only monitoring rigs. I'm using free version of SendGrid api to send emails so I have only 100 a day, so brining this to phone would be reasonal next move.

    Tripping circuit breaker

    Posted: 08 Jun 2020 04:46 PM PDT

Hey guys so I got an 8gpu setup that is pulling approx 1300w in the room. Every few hours it will trip the breaker which has a number 15 on the switch which I'll assume is 15 amps (I'm a noob). So 4 gpus are being powered by a 1000w psu gold, the other 4 another 1000w psu gold hooked up via Add2Psu.

So I hooked up one of the PSUs to an extension which goes into another room which is on a different circuit also labelled as 15.

Now i have two questions: 1. Will this basically solve the tripping issue? 2. I know that if the main psu cuts off, the add2psu will also cut off the second psu through the sata connection. But what if the second psu cuts off first for whatever reason, will it also cut off the main psu? Thanks. Just want to make sure it is all safe.

update: thank u everyone for the advice!

Maxsun AMD RX 580 4gb or another brand?

    Posted: 08 Jun 2020 11:05 AM PDT

    Hello,

I was wondering if anyone had any experiences with Maxsun AMD RX 580 4gb models? They are being sold used for less than 80 bucks a pop. Would it be worth buying? Anyone with any experience with the brand?

    How does Coinbase wallet work

    Posted: 08 Jun 2020 08:23 AM PDT

I'm mining on two computers. They both are set to send coin to my wallet but nothing has been sent.

Are there some limits for how much I have to mine for it to be sent to my wallet? And I don't understand how can I collect funds from my coinbase wallet to my credit card if even possible or cash out.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.
