Is Algorand the first proof of stake platform? I’m confused

    Posted: 28 Jun 2020 05:53 PM PDT

I'm learning about proof of stake and I'm kinda confused. Most sources I've come across say that the first proof of stake was peercoin but it was a mix with proof of work or something, and then there were NXT, blackcoin, and several others.

But then I also see a project called Algorand claiming they're the first "pure proof of stake" platform. What is the difference? Does that mean Algorand is the first proof of stake? This is so confusing..

And if it's not correct, why are they claiming it?

Crypto.com uses paid shills to "secretely" spread positive information about their service. Evidence inside ⚠️

Example of how Crypto.com uses their paid shills - in this case to fight "FUD" about the possibility of their cards issued by Wirecard being bricked ... only to get them bricked 2 days later. Ordered straight by the CEO: https://pixeldrain.com/l/vskzaY5y

They're stepping up their game and more paid shills are incoming: https://blog.crypto.com/join-the-crypto-com-ambassador-program/

Always do your own research and think critically! Otherwise you're gonna end up with something like #CRO 💩 printed in $ billions and being dumped on newbies!

Study sources outside of the Crypto.com's social media, those are heavily censored to retain the positive image!
