Stop the blood loss, don’t bleed out like you did today. -Trailing Stop Losses, for new traders

    Posted: 11 Jun 2020 09:19 PM PDT

Stop the blood loss, don't bleed out like you did today - Trailing Stop Losses

Did you lose money today after you were up big time yesterday?

Were you in profit? We're you up 25% or more on your money?

Next time set up a Trailing Stop % or $.

Keep in mind that the stock market averages 7% gains per year. PER YEAR. In penny stocks you can make or lose so much more than that in just a few hours. Earlier today I posted about MLFB. It went from .0016 to .099 in 4 hours. That's one hell of a gain. Your $100 into $600 for 5 minutes worth of work. You are welcome.

Okay, so you won't be able to hit the very top right on the money, damn near ever. You have a better chance of beating Bloodborne on the first try. This is where your stop loss and trailing stop losses come in.

Stop loss is when you set up a point at which your stock will sell automatically when it drops to that point. You can use this for slower moving stocks and just keep increasing the price manually as the stock increases in value. It keeps you from losing it all like you may have today.

For penny stocks, I prefer a trailing stop. This is when your sell order increases in value automatically as the stock rises. If you buy in at $1 then it goes up to $1.50 you set up a trailing stop for say 10 cents. This means you will not make less than 40% on your investment.

If the price goes down to $1.40 the trailing stop will trigger and you will have made that 40%. If the stock goes to $2 then the stop loss will increase to $1.90 and your profits are locked in and if the stock starts to drop it will trigger at $1.90. Making you a cool 90 cents per $1 invested.

Note: You can also use % instead of $ for your trailing stop loss. This would allow you to say okay I want to make sure my stop loss keeps me from dropping more than 10% from the highs of the day.

Risks: Of course everything has a risk. The risk to this is creating your stop loss to tight and getting stopped out on daily fluctuations in the market. From the previous example you buy in at $1 and it goes to $2 then it drops to $1.89 triggering your stop at $1.90. Then it immediately shoots up to $2.50 and you are pissed you missed those gains. Yep, you missed those gains - lesson learned. Don't make your stop loss or trailing stop loss too close to the actual value of the underlying stock.

    Question about one time transfer

    Posted: 12 Jun 2020 04:25 AM PDT

I wanted to sell something to my friend, and he offered me £200 worth of Etherium for it. I've never dealt in crypto before, so was wondering how safe it was, if there's any hidden transfer fees, and how I would go about receiving the Etherium and transferring it back to money. My friend has a Trezor hardware wallet, and said he couldn't pay me in cash because he had reached a transfer cap or something.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks.

Is CoinDeskMiner a scam or not?

    Posted: 12 Jun 2020 01:24 AM PDT

I'm simply creating this post here because i want people to find it when they search for CoinDeskMiner in Google.

It is a scam, they "offer" money guaranteed and even claim they pay the losses themselves.

They are active on all sorts of media and try to scam people who don't know any better by private message and explain how they are making so much money out of it.

" We can get it all done now within five minutes and you're ready to get profits..."

" Ok go search for coindeskminers . com and create your account with the company.. Then send me a screenshot of your CoinDeskMiner account and we proceed" " Their least investment plan is $100-$1000 to earn 4% profit after 24hrs..."

For any newcomers there are a few crypto rules that you should tattoo on your body:

    • if it sounds too good to be true, it's probably not true.
    • No such thing as free money, there is always someone who pays the price.
    • Don't gamble on emotions, i can get why 4% daily gains sounds appealing to you and how some may act on it.

4% daily returns guaranteed simply CAN NOT exist.

If you have reached this page because you wanted to check if it is a scam or not then i would suggest you to NOT invest just yet into crypto, you NEED to do some serious research first because the odds you will get scammed are very high!

Best thing you can do is ask your questions in this sub and don't answer private messages, someone private messaging you is 99% a scammer, and this goes for ALL media (telegram, twitter, discord (holyshit), etc..) . Best of luck.

"But crypto is free money i want to jump in now and fast!88!"

I wish you the best of luck, you have 99% chance to lose your money.

Investigative report into QuadrigaCX is now out

    Posted: 11 Jun 2020 08:54 AM PDT

The ontario securities commission (which plays a similar role to the SEC in the US), has publicly released the results of their investigation into the collapse of QuadrigaCX. Of note:

" Staff determined that Quadriga collapsed due to a fraud committed by Cotten. Cotten opened accounts under aliases and credited himself with fictitious currency and crypto asset balances, which he traded with unsuspecting Quadriga clients. Cotten sustained real losses when the price of crypto assets changed, thereby creating a shortfall in assets available to satisfy client withdrawals. Cotten covered this shortfall with other clients' deposits – in effect, operating a Ponzi scheme. Staff calculated that the bulk of the $169 million in client losses – approximately $115 million – arose from Cotten's fraudulent trading. "

" Staff also determined that Cotten misappropriated millions in client assets to fund his lavish lifestyle.

OSC Staff would likely have pursued an enforcement action against Cotten and Quadriga. However, this is not practical given that Cotten is deceased and Quadriga is bankrupt, with its assets subject to a court-supervised distribution process."

The full report, and the press disclosure is in the link below: https://www.osc.gov.on.ca/en/NewsEvents_nr_20200611_osc-publishes-investigative-report-quadrigacx.htm

What to do with remnants of coins too small to withdraw?

    Posted: 11 Jun 2020 04:47 PM PDT

I have an old kucoin account with a combined $4 of BTC and OMG that will not let me transfer to hardware wallet due to minimum withdraw rules. Any tips on making use of this? I'd even do an internal transfer to my active Kucoin account, if there's a way to do it.

    Thanks
