    Volcker Rule

    Posted: 25 Jun 2020 06:18 PM PDT

For those that are unaware, the Fed eased the rule that prohibits banks from investing the capital of thier customers into financial markets. This is exactly why the stock market rallied today and why we need decentralized currency.

If you send me Bitcoin I'll immediately send zero BTC back to your address!

    Posted: 25 Jun 2020 06:54 PM PDT

I guarantee you a return of zero BTC! Enter as many times as you like! And it doesn't matter if you send it from an exchange, since the sending address doesn't match your receiving address!

It's not that I'm just convinced that Bitcoin has to succeed but perhaps just as much that I simply don't see any viable alternative to it.

    Posted: 26 Jun 2020 01:49 AM PDT

We are now on our way of almost a century of fiat money, and when you look at it from a distance it is pretty clear where it's heading towards....

No one has any idea how current debts are going to be paid but we keep trying to solve it by adding more and more debt.

Since we can't solve it in a soft way it's going to be solved in a hard way.

Any alternative for Bitcoin would be a better Bitcoin or the whole of humanity falling for the next fiat ponzi scheme.

Anyone seeing one of the two above possibilities as remotely possible is welcome to explain me how that will work out. Just hope is fine, eg a better Bitcoin will come by, but just hope isn't seen as real solution to me unless you can at least describe how it would work.

    Perhaps someone sees other alternatives?

Kraken Grants $150,000 in BTC to Open-Source Payment Processor, BTCPay

Why isn't CoinJoin implemented as part of the Bitcoin software, and mining process?

    Posted: 25 Jun 2020 05:06 PM PDT

If I understand correctly CoinJoin/CoinShuffle, it is done by combining and mixing inputs and outputs from several transactions so that it is harder to identify the origin of those transactions.

Could this process be implemented as part of the Bitcoin software itself? So that when a new block is mined all inputs and outputs in all the transactions included in that block are mixed (CoinJoined), thus making Bitcoin more private?

It even sounds like this change could be implemented as a soft fork, backwards compatible with old rules?

Sorry if this is completely stupid and makes no sense at all, or if it is already in some BIP that I could not find.

A FOMO-cycle of an unprecedented magnitude. An event never before seen in history. An event which will render every other currency mostly useless. It sounds far fetched, but there is a chance that the next Bitcoin bullrun is the tipping point.

An update on twitter handle @ericsavics

    Posted: 25 Jun 2020 10:28 PM PDT

A while ago, this man posted a video about himself loosing 10 BTC of life savings (if I remember correctly).

A lot of people bashed him saying that he is a scam and is trying to steal money without enough evidence.

He has since, deleted his Twitter account and refunded the donations he has received (including mine). And note that he only provided his BTC address after people asked for it.

I think a portion of the crypto community owes this man an apology for causing him further stress during this time of his financial loss.

I genuinely hope he is doing okay.
