Ethereum 2.0 validator node - worth it? Posted: 24 May 2020 01:59 PM PDT So I have $6500 sitting in the stock market index funds right now and I was wondering if it'd be worth it to liquidate and try to get the minimum 32 eth to become a validator node - what are some risks / rewards of doing that? A lot of the articles I've read have talked about how being a validator node works but not the pros/cons so I was wondering what you guys think. [link] [comments] | ||

Simplest way to store a short sentence in ETH blockchain? Posted: 24 May 2020 04:46 AM PDT It's a sort of a bet with a friend. I know something, he doesn't believe me. It will be revealed in some time. I want to make a small transaction on ETH blockchain with a short one sentence comment in it. Then after some time I will point him to this transaction, proving him that I was right (or wrong). I have trezor with few dollars worth of ETH. I know how to use [1] and I confirm it works. My skills are not any higher. So how can I store a short sentence in blockchain to have a proof that I knew (or bet) something in advance? Then I want to have a link to this transaction, e.g. on etherscan.io, and the comment will be there, unremovable from the blockchain.
