[meta] Hello mods, can we get r/ethfinance added to the related subreddits section of the sidebar?

    Posted: 30 May 2020 01:24 PM PDT

After the r/ethtrader community split the majority of the active community (and therefor discussion activity) ended up on r/ethfinance. It'd be great to be pointing new users to the most active discussions for their particular interests.

Thanks for attending my TED talk.

    The new ICOs?

    Posted: 30 May 2020 06:09 PM PDT

We are now seeing the ICOs of the new decade, it's no longer self-made projects grab money from investors to then let them fail and close shop, now we have big money getting involved, the banks, and governments trying to get their piece of the cake.

That is BloxRoute (to name one) looks like to me, a new project launched for a private company to do that same that they've always, but now with blockchain, the problem is that they will have full control (in time), so what is the point of using them instead of a regular private network? They aren't trying to solve the economic problems and the vulnerabilities in the blockchain tech, their "solution" is only something momentary, and it only serves THEIR needs.

Banks must be eager as well to jump in and use their reputation to keep using their customer money as theirs.

Federal Judge merges two cases against XRP

This seems to be a trend. It seems like people are commonly dissatisfied or feel slighted with how tokens ar distributed and marketed during a start up. It seems this way with what happened with Tezos too.

Are these legit complaints or just people seeing an opportunity to get a share of the stake?

Accidentally mover BCH to my BTC wallet

    Posted: 31 May 2020 12:25 AM PDT

Please help! I was trying to be smart and move my BCH coins from Coinbase to my new Trezor wallet. I sent a small amount to test which went through. Then I must have clicked on BTC tab on accident. Then I created a fresh adress (for God knows only knows what reason) and sent the rest of my funds. Am I totally screwed or is there a way to get stop the transaction? I did some googling and it seems like since I have the seed for both wallets there is something I can do about it, but I am confused as to what exactly. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I’m glad Goldman Sachs released that report

    Posted: 30 May 2020 08:16 AM PDT

It highlights how worried they are about this. It's like they see the walls coming down, but they want to hold on.

If they were positive, I'd probably be concerned.

Eventually they'll find a way to profit off this. And then their tune will change. But by then, they will have lost their chance to be a big part of this.
