Posted: 23 May 2020 09:38 PM PDT These clowns were banning their customers bank accounts over bitcoin purchases from coinbase and they decided to bank for coinbase and Gemini. The rich don't want the poor to be prepared for the collapse of the US dollar. Also let's not forget that JPMorgan handles the CIAs cocaine freight. [link] [comments]

Posted: 24 May 2020 12:37 AM PDT Apologies for the long-winded question but I was thinking of how the current supply of BCH could be/is affecting its price. As we all know, we have been involved in two forks, one in 2017 to create BCH and one in 2018 which led to the creation of BSV. With a lot of people in both BTC and BSV being very much opposed to BCH for whatever reason, is there a way to track how much BCH was dumped and/or if certain individuals/whales are still dumping their BCH? Long term this is probably good for us who are in BCH as we are able to accumulate cheaper than we would have been but of course "number go up" is always good to see too. Just my Sunday morning thoughts trying to figure out how the price of BCH is what it is. [link] [comments]

Posted: 23 May 2020 12:54 PM PDT So we need to develope more utility of BCH to attract more people. No matter how different it will be, we have to make some fundamental changes to make BCH attractive. Why BTC is much stabler than BCH, because it has more active addresses, that means more people use it. [link] [comments]

Couldn't we end this BCH vs BSV thing with one simple change? Posted: 23 May 2020 07:35 PM PDT What is the issue with removing the block size limit and having miners enforce a soft limit themselves? If we do this for the next upgrade, then BSV will have no reason to exist (not that it has much of a reason now). Not doing this is a big mistake imo, as there is clearly an audience who wants this, and are taking a large market share away from BCH. I also think that it's not a terrible idea to lock down the protocol and abandon the hard forks every 6 months. If an upgrade is truly needed, then it should be proposed for a hard fork far in the future (years), so that we ensure all nodes have upgraded. [link] [comments]

Posted: 23 May 2020 10:16 PM PDT Hi, I'm a astrophysicist undergrad, I was going to get a Linux server for personal use/ run some physics simulations (as apposed to my laptop and after summer when I don't get access to government super computer Plan is to use this as my computer and SSH into it from my laptop, use it for storage and work. This normally wouldn't scratch its computer power. I'm aware BTC made minera are tremendously more efficient, but roughly how decent of a miner would it make? Also, my rent covers electric for "reasonable" use, Also, would it hurt it to constantly run? Ps My dad (cs major) will help me set it up (# father son bounding) [link] [comments]

If long term most transactions happen on Lightning Network, isn't that a HUGE RISK to miner fees? Posted: 23 May 2020 12:22 PM PDT The important thing to understand about Lightning is that when all transactions happen off-chain, miners don't generate fee revenue. This undermines the security and sustainability of the network, which is all based in mining profits. With each halving event, miners become more and more dependent on transaction fees, until the subsidy is removed entirely and transaction fees is the ONLY income miners will generate. It's a ticking timebomb under Bitcoin - scale or die. Miners don't just secure the network out of the goodness of their hearts, it costs a lot of money in electricity. This is the paradox of a system like lightning - it is supposed to enhance Bitcoin by making traffic happen off chain, but instead it undermines all the economic incentives that make Bitcoin work to begin with. Could you tell me - why am I wrong? [link] [comments]

AVA vs BCH - in what ways do you think AVA is inferior to BCH? Posted: 23 May 2020 06:07 PM PDT I am trying to learn about AVA and have posted to the AVA forums as well. If you know about AVA and see where it is lacking compared to BCH, I would love your thoughts. Of course you can contribute what you like, however, I have a very specific request - I am not asking why AVA is great , I am asking specifically how it is inferior to BCH. I know BCH inside and out (for someone who hasn't read the code), but I am trying to learn AVA. Knowing if AVA has fundamental flaws will determine where I should put my energy. Posted: 23 May 2020 05:03 PM PDT Feed Ze birds was a really cool idea for using bitcoin to pay for retweets. It's an old idea from 2013 I think, but was temporarily revived as birds . Bitcoin . Com in 2017. Now it seems to not be live anywhere. Wouldn't this be a really cool use case for BCH? Is there any reason this doesn't work? A cool side effect would be to spread adoption by getting small amounts of Bitcoin into many people that use Twitter [link] [comments]
