| Little update and scheduling announcement in the Sostack case against Ripple. Posted: 09 Apr 2020 08:45 AM PDT For those wondering what the entries into Court Listener were but were unwilling to create an account and pay the .20 per page fees, here you go: This past Tuesday the court posted this which boiled down to this: NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY STIPULATED by and between Plaintiff Bradley Sostack and Defendants Ripple Labs, Inc., XRP II LLC, and Bradley Garlinghouse, through their respective counsel, that: 1. Defendants shall respond to the FAC on or before June 8, 2020; and if a motion to dismiss is filed, Plaintiffs' opposition shall be due July 8, 2020, and Defendants' reply due July 29, 2020. The FAC being Sostack's amended complaint after a couple of it's former charges were dismissed with prejudice. A 60 day extension was granted to Ripple for it's reply to the amended complaint, which is the June 8th date. They will likely move to dismiss again, to which Sostack must respond by July 8th, and Ripple to that by July 29. [link] [comments]  | ||

I have been investing for a while but I am not sure about tax implications from the TIMING of the purchase/sale of XRP. For example, if I bought 1 XRP on Jan. 1 2017, 1 XRP on Jan. 1 2018, and 1 XRP on Jan 2019, and put them all on a ledger, then decide in 2020 to send 1 XRP from my ledger to Coinbase to sell for $x,xxx - can I choose which XRP I sell? Can I choose to hold my 1 XRP from 2017 and sell the 1 XRP from 2019? How is that decided? Any guidance on this is appreciated. [link] [comments]  | ||
