Is GPU mining wise to invest in long term, or is it dying? Noob here. Don't be too harsh

So I realized I have enough hardware knowledge and spare money every now and then which I could put in GPUs mining coins.

I am doing so since Oct-19 with ok results, and since I don't pay electricity, better even.

I have a RX 590 8G mining ETH full-time on nicehash. With a little bit of trading skills it becomes slightly more profitable.

Now with the whole PoS coming sometime for ETH, ASICS being made for every coin that becomes stable-profitable, and a lack of very profitable alternatives to mining ETH, I am not sure if I should really get invested into building mining rigs (for business not just fun) or, should I put that money any other place.

We're talking about this being profitable in 5-10 years time

    Thank you for your assistance

    Putting the original bios problem?

    Posted: 20 Mar 2020 11:54 PM PDT

All right I have this problem where I have to put all the factory bios back on all six cards four of them or successful however there are two of them that Windows still recognize them as a problem those graphics cards are [Powercolor RX 570 4GB Red Dragon]. The cards have Samsung memory the website techpowerup only has one bios for those cards, I even took the time to take the cart apart to look at the part number of the actual memory chip to see if it matches the bios memory chip number as well and a both match, I put it on it and Windows still sees problematic.

I just want to know is there hope for these cards are there losses? Windows still recognize them as RX 570 and their bios are on them the good ones but nothing.

Why are all my 6 gpus mining at 11.26 MHs [Noob]

    Posted: 20 Mar 2020 06:19 PM PDT

I have 6 RX 570 at the beginning I only had two and those two were running at 26.23 Mh/s with bios mod. Now for some reason it's running at 11.26 Mh/s for all 6 gpus. I have 3 gpus with Samsung memory and 3 gpus with Hynix memory.

I did the BIOS mod on all 6 gpus with a program called [PolarisBiosEditor-master]

The mining platform I use is [Kryptex] I want to know is it because of the platform that I'm on and there's something better out there.

I really want to know did I mess something up somewhere because this is not profitable at all.
