Novice Question about ETH Gas Fees

    Posted: 28 Mar 2020 11:04 AM PDT

Hey guys, I've been invested in ETH and a handful of ERC-20 tokens for about a year now, and am looking for some advice. When I had purchased my ETH and ERC-20 tokens originally, I sent each of them to individual separate ETH wallets.

Now, I'm thinking that my preferred approach would be to consolidate all of my holdings into a single ETH address, since it will be much easier for me to keep track of that way. To do this, I'll have to send a small amount of ETH to each wallet containing ERC-20 tokens, to cover the ETH gas fees.

What would be the best way that I can prevent leaving any ETH "dust" in each of the ERC-20 token wallets after transferring those tokens to my single ETH address? I've come across sites with calculators like 'ethgasstation' during my prelimiary searches. Are sites like this accurate in providing the exact gas fees needed to avoid leaving behind small dust amounts? Or do they just give more of an estimate that could change slightly, thus meaning that I could end up sending slightly too little or too much ETH to cover the required gas fees?

Any help would be great as I try to wrap my head around how this works!

locking ETH for DAI: noob question

    Posted: 28 Mar 2020 01:09 PM PDT

Hi, I never locked ETH for DAI but want to try it.

Question: let's assume I lock 1,1 ETH (worth approx. 150 USD) to borrow 100 DAI.

Within 3 days the ETH price rises. Will I get the same 1,1 ETH back, which I locked, or will I have to "buy" my ETH back for market price, so: I will have less ETH than before?

I couldn't find an answer at the maker specs

Looking for Smart Contract devs for COVID-19 B2B escrow

    Posted: 28 Mar 2020 12:34 PM PDT

Any developer(s) in this group with smart contracts experience (ideally MVP built)?

With the current COVID situation, I have an outlet to launch a smart contracts (escrow) solution for B2B sales of products needed to fight COVID.

    • Buyers and sellers don't know each other
    • There are middlemen involved
    • No not trusts anyone, yet the supply and demand exist heavily right now.
    • Perfect storm to launch a smart contract solution to the masses of B2B.

DM me to chat over the phone.

I made an online store builder for the 1M Metamask users

    Posted: 28 Mar 2020 05:38 AM PDT

As the title says, I built an editor that allows you to easily create a personal/project page, sell products and and collect payments in ETH. Customers can simply buy via Metamask.

The project stemmed from my experience with uniswaproi.com, where I have allowed users to purchase paid plans with Metamask and has been working great.

I hope this will be useful for some of you as we all experiement with web3 and connected business models! Stay safe!

    Beginner’s question

    Posted: 28 Mar 2020 12:04 AM PDT

I know that you can't buy Ether with credit card, since most banks will reject that (rightfully), so most people use giftcards or wire transfers..but let's say you get the right amazon card for the amount you want to buy, how can you get your money back if no bank will not accept to receive since they reject to give anyway?

Sorry if I sound dumb, just beginner

I got 1/3 of the way through the Lynda Ethereum course before giving up because it makes no sense. Can anyone suggest a video course for learning Solidity?

    Posted: 27 Mar 2020 07:22 PM PDT

The first contract Lynda has the student make simply does not compile. I even use the example code but it does not work.

Can anyone suggest an Ethereum video course for Solidity that actually works?
