Warning: Stasis EURS stablecoin contract unsafe? Posted: 27 Mar 2020 09:37 AM PDT I am looking for an alternative to USD stablecoin variants and was attracted by Stasis EURS (https://stasis.net/). While they mention they charge no fees, I decided to inspect the smart contract[1]. If you look closely, you'll see that there is built-in code to charge fees for any transfer of this token (in the transferFrom() function). While transfer fees are set to zero right now, it is hard to take for granted that they will always stay so. In theory, they could increase the fees to whichever value they want, rendering the tokens worthless (in addition to, of course, the usual blacklisting functionality of centralized stablecoins). Is this common practice? Please do correct me if I'm wrong as I am relatively new to this space. I am curious to know if there are any more promising Euro stablecoin projects! I can't get mist or eth wallet to work Posted: 27 Mar 2020 10:25 AM PDT I followed an old guide here on how to manually update geth and replace the included geth in mist/eth wallet. It launched fine but wouldn't connect so I restarted my pc and I started getting the same wrong checksum please update geth manually error message. I've checked and the new geth is still where it should be. So I'm looking for a non custodial private w3 browser if I can't get mist to work [link] [comments]

¿How many wallets should I have? Posted: 27 Mar 2020 11:02 AM PDT Hello everyone, Real noobie here, I just got into the world of crypto, but there's something I just don't understand. I created a wallet on mew, now I want to use my ether on other dapps, but every dapp asks me for the private key, for exemple in kyber swap The problem is mew doesn't stop saying you should never, never, never share your private key to anyone... So, I'm I supposed to create a new wallet for every dapp I want to use??? And if it's the case, how do you keep track for each wallet?? Thank you very much. (Non English speaker, sorry, doing my best 😉) [link] [comments]
