- Three U.S Senators were caught red-handed selling off their stocks while down-playing the effect of COVID-19 thanks to their access to valuable insider information. In comparison, what Charlie Lee of Litecoin did was decent, and even acceptable.
- Stablecoin supply has skyrocketed in the last week, with hundreds of millions of dollars of USDT and USDC minted to meet demand. So many traders have chosen to stay in the market rather than just exit the crypto economy altogether
- It's about time to democratize the financial leanings of people especially in Africa. The US FED is debasing but Bitcoin is an option. Few African countries accept Bitcoin and now their central banks are following the FED in minting more million dollars out of thin air to manage Covid-19

The Steem blockchain now is centralized under one person - Please stay away! Posted: 21 Mar 2020 11:45 AM PDT Pretty much what the title says. Since the community forked away from Steem and started the Hive blockchain, all witnesses on Steem are controlled and elected by Justin Sun. You can check the witnesses (block producers) here: https://steempeak.com/me/witnesses The people running 22.5 are Justin Sun's sock puppets. On the Steemit frontend, Justin already started hiding posts that speak critically about him. He also blocked a list of 10 accounts completely, of which 9 accounts are ex-witnesses. Additionally to that he started downvoting critical posts with 20% of the whole coin supply (Not the staked supply, but the total coin supply). He eliminates up to 300$ of rewards with a single downvote. Some of him supporters now demand to fork out the stake of people that switched to Hive. They not only want to freeze it but completely delete it. And Sun has the power to do that. Please stay away from this chain if you believe in decentralization or free speech. [link] [comments]

Stock market shut down and passenger plane grounded Posted: 22 Mar 2020 05:04 AM PDT I hear trump is looking at grounding all passenger planes, requiring everyone to stay home and closing the stock market for a period of time. Obviously closing the stock market so they don't crash because he's closing the whole nation. If he does close the stock market what will happen to crypto short term 1-4 days and then longer term 1-4 weeks? [link] [comments]

Posted: 22 Mar 2020 04:36 AM PDT It is possible to distribute advertising content by placing a bot in OLMarket. An advertiser can train their own bot or choose one out of our patterns prepared with different parameters. When exporting a bot in OLMarket, the smart-contract is created in which an advertiser sets the budget for the advertisement campaign. The OLTarget service analyses targeted parameters and creates a negative price for the neurobot, taking as a basis the advertisers' requests, matching them to users and the budget of the PR campaign. When placed in OLMarket advertising, the bot can be additionally promoted to the catalog's top positions. When finding this neurobot, a user can import it into their account and get a reward of the denoted negative value of the bot. An advertising bot may fulfill different functions. They can be OLAI neurobots that are created by other users or a commercial organization, a mobile application or game that is integrated into OLPORTAL. The possibilities of OLMarket allow users and off-site developers to implement their products (frameworks, applications, games, neurobots, different business decisions) on the basis of OLPORTAL with open API, extending or supporting the general functional. OLTarget is a full-scale bilateral service for the promotion of advertising material in OLPORTAL with the application of AI. This is media content placed by an advertiser, which will be displayed only to those users, who fit chosen parameters and who have given their permission for viewing a certain category of advertising. The settings of OLTarget will have a wide range of options, going beyond sex, age, region, photo data, activity in social media or messengers, social preferences, communication parameters and other criteria. With the help of this service, an advertiser can place materials by choosing necessary target parameters independently, affect payment for these services in the OLPORTAL application using OLCF currency via OLWallet. When creating an account in OLPORTAL, a user enters their personal data allocated on decentralized network OLNet, which provides the decentralization of the account, full confidentiality and data security from any institutions, companies and individuals, including OLPORTAL. The OLTarget system identifies targeting parameters chosen by an advertiser and picks up a targeted user, who views the advertising, according to these parameters with the help of the implemented AI. A user will get rewards calculated from the advertiser's payment automatically after he or she has viewed the material and/or followed the link in the advertisement. The user will get their reward in OLCF tokens on their account in OLWallet. This strategy distinguishes OLTarget from large, famous targeting services such as Google, Facebook, Instagram, MyTarget, and so on, where users share their personal data with these corporations, where there is no question about true confidentiality, where users are "sold" to advertisers without asking for their permission and sharing profit with them. Thus, when using the OLPORTAL application, users will have the opportunity to meet their demands and get rewards independently from someone, without risking their privacy and confidentiality [link] [comments]

SEC and legality of time limited token swaps Posted: 21 Mar 2020 12:03 PM PDT Could anyone provide any information on what would be the legal situation of a token swap that is time limited. If a holder misses that swap window and the company refuses to provide a swap thereafter. Would there be any legal recourse via the SEC. For clarity yep I missed a swap, now the tokens are worthless. It was with WAX. Who've said they wont provide any swap. [link] [comments]
