I'm starting to hear here and there that 8GB AMD are able to allocate only 4GB of memory. That means that they will be able to mine ETH only until epoch 380, which will happen around December 2020. | Is it worth gpu mining nowadays? Posted: 21 Feb 2020 02:01 PM PST Hello! I was just wondering. I started to mine bitcoin with nicehash on my regular pc which has a 2080 ti. I am thinking about investing in a mining rig but is it worth it? I mean gpu mining is that a good thing nowadays? If i invest like 2000dollars in a rig it takes like a year or two to get those money back and at that point there is probably better hardware out there??? Should i buy a asic miner? Plus isnt bitcoin mining coming to an end? Since it is only 3-4 million bitcoins left. Zhankz in advance for answers. [link] [comments]  |
