This is why the majority of the E3 ASICS will eliminate themselves

    Posted: 25 Feb 2020 12:16 AM PST

1 . DAG size will be >4GB by end of this year (https://investoon.com/tools/dag_size)

    1. Majority of miners currently use AMD GPUs with 4GB - so do the E3 ASICS.
Both(!) won't be able to mine ETH by the end of this year.

    2. There may or may be no >4GB asics, considering that BTC is 3x more profitiable to mine and ROI of newer asics wouldn't pay off we can assume there is no significant amount of new ASICS

    3. DAG size should not be changed, it deals with the majority amount of ASICS

    4. If we implemented ProgPOW we might eliminate a small amount of Asics but also would reduce the costs of an 51% attack even more since many AMD GPUs will be gone as well.
