Posted: 18 Feb 2020 07:52 PM PST Ever since my friend taught me to trade I've been mostly trading the coins I'm interested in against the BTC. I noticed that sometimes after gaining on a speculative smaller coin, I will want to cash out but often lose some of my gains to BTC losing value coincidentally after my sale (over the next few days). I notice that If I sold to USDT I would have lost nothing in the following days.. Interesting to me was that BNB seemed to be about half way between USDT and BTC (loses halved) meaning it is actually fairly stable. My friend suggests that BTC is the gold standard and that I should just always sell to BTC (and pair trade with it instantly), but I feel like defensive actions may be warranted if a downturn is forcasted in the charts. What do you guys do? think? (I swing trade usually 4-14 day trades) Maybe sell to BNB if I'm unsure of market direction since its a half measure? Also... what are the best Stable coins? DIA? USDT? USDC? TUSD? Edit: I noticed USDT pairs tend to have the most volume. I'm assuming this means this is the safe haven hold most people use? I would have thought BTC, TUSD or USDC would be the default since there's less rumors about them (?) [link] [comments]

Posted: 18 Feb 2020 04:52 PM PST Hi guys. Over at ChartStar.com we're busy behind the scenes building our realtime charting software and soon we'll be getting ready to launch our beta. We're now at the stage we're looking for enhancements and features that will take us to the next level. One thing we are extremely focused on is crypto orderbook heatmaps. TradingView is an obvious popular choice for crypto charting and we've worked extremely hard to give our own creative, unique slant on price charting... with that said we'd appreciate feedback from seasoned traders who use TradingView: - What are your pain points and struggles with TradingView? - What improvements and new features are on your wish-list for TradingView? Any other comments or ideas appreciated, as we'll be taking feedback on board as features to implement. Cheers [link] [comments]
