A response to U/guyfawkefsp - BCH has existed for 2.5 years and is doing 0.2 txns/second?

a user called u/guyfawkefsp made a post on r/btc claiming Bitcoin cash being 'unused' over the last 2.5 years of its inception

    https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/eilbof/bch_has_existed_for_25_years_and_is_doing_02/

    -----------

here is a point wise reply -

    1. from bitinfocharts.com

    https://preview.redd.it/4prlmhkvub841.png?width=1366&format=png&auto=webp&s=6e166fffe8aa65198357a65e78b114cafcc51fdc

as can be seen above, nearly 7 percent of total BCH supply has been moved last 24hrs vs just 2.5 % bitcoin . ( implying much more onchain activity ) . now granted, one can counter this by saying that btc price per coin is so high so less btc can do the job, however, fact is that BCH IS far cheaper to send and fees are in sub zero cents . MORE people are onboarding BCH .

2 . BCH eco system is growing -

2.5 years ago, there was no local.bitcoin.com , exchange.bitcoin.com , SLP token economy , much more merchants are on board .

    1. BCH is undervalued ,

i see much more potential for BCH price upside given its utility . i belive BCH is where BTC was in 2011 -2013 . calculate the upside yourself

BCH has existed for 2.5 years and is doing 0.2 txns/second... Meanwhile the majority of its developers are building tools to increase theoretical capacity. This is the definition of insanity. BCH's bottleneck is not capacity, it is useful applications--> We need to build useful applications.

    Posted: 01 Jan 2020 10:02 AM PST

It has been 2.5 years. BCH is 3% of BTC. The blocks are virtually empty. The market has spoken, and BCH is not executing on its mission --> To bring censorship resistant money to the world. Many will see this post as some super secret undercover troll infiltration operation. Hopefully some will consider the argument being made:

Virtually all BCH developers are working on

    1. Wallet Software
    2. Node Software
    3. Base Protocol Improvements

It is important to understand base infrastructure has never and will never onboard users. Base infrastructure makes room for more users, but it does not onboard them. This is a very important distinction to understand. New users will join BCH for useful applications, not infrastructure. Given that BCH has not seen any material adoption in its short 2.5 year history, maybe it is time for developers working on infrastructure to consider building out actual use cases. The base protocol is good enough for the time being.

BCH has more full node implementations than it does applications -> This is the definition of insanity

Most economists state that BTC is a failure because it's not used for payments. BTC has lost the plot. Meanwhile BCH tech is improving and adoption is growing. Keep it up!

    Regulated exchanges are dangerous

    Posted: 01 Jan 2020 06:50 PM PST

KYC can be an endless chain of requests for more information, until you give up

AML is a pretext to lock your account and steal your coins

If an institution does not like you - that is fair and up to them, but they should then on their own initiative return the deposit to the address where it came from

2020 Bitcoin Cash Resolution Guide - Never Use Fiat Again!

    Posted: 01 Jan 2020 03:46 PM PST

Bitcoin Cash is the greatest invention of all time. It can save the entire world from impending socialism, slavery, concentration camps, and other forms of government violence. It has more potential to improve the world than previous innovations such as the printing press, the internet, and the steam engine. The single greatest thing we can do to impact the future of humanity in a positive direction is to use Bitcoin Cash and spread adoption as much as possible.

The globalists have been trying to destroy the crypto movement for years. Bilderberg Blockstream has imposed transaction speed limits on Bitcoin Core, governments inflict violent KYC/AML laws to punish certain forms of onboarding, and crypto heroes like Ross Ulbricht have been imprisoned as punishment for dealing huge blows to the evil authoritarian establishment.

Thankfully, the revolution is still effervescent in Bitcoin Cash. Bitcoin Cash is now a flickering candle light keeping alive the dream for millions of people to be freed from government coercion around the world. A movement that we are igniting and kindling into a conflagration.

To realize this dream, we need to spend Bitcoin Cash as much as possible this year in 2020. We can't use the enemy's currencies any longer. Fiat is funded through tax extortion and wars. Each disgusting filthy scrap of fiat cash paper is tainted with the blood of innocents.

There are enough places to shop with Bitcoin Cash that you will never need to use fiat again. By only supporting businesses that accept Bitcoin Cash, we will help support more like minded entrepreneurs and decentralize the economy.

Please add suggestions below and I will add them to this post.

Buying printable gift cards for local stores with Bitcoin Cash is the best way to buy groceries and amenities with Bitcoin Cash. It is not a direct BCH transaction to the store, but is still a benefit to the ecosystem, because you are bypassing fiat entirely. Easily print them and use them for purchases in stores or online anonymously.

Gift cards available include Target, Safeway, Walmart, Amazon, and Ebay.

    Available from eGifter and GiftCards.Bitcoin.com

The better way: Local stores that accept Bitcoin Cash

Map.Bitcoin.com has local stores and certain countries have massive adoption. Even better is to ask local stores if they will start accepting Bitcoin Cash. I am sure they will if you ask smaller restaurants and businesses.

When shopping online, buy directly from merchants who accept Bitcoin Cash.

Bypass the centralized economy and buy from small businesses or other big companies that accept Bitcoin Cash directly.

This is better than Amazon, as it is more beneficial for adoption and growth for the Bitcoin Cash to go directly to people, reducing the amount that is converted back into Fiat, and increasing the amount that people spend daily.

    1. The Accept Bitcoin Cash Initiative (1,000+ Stores)
    2. Cryptowerk (1,500+ Stores)
    3. GreenPages.cash (1,000+ Stores)

If you are going to shop at Amazon, use Purse.io to save 5-33% on all purchases using Bitcoin Cash. The discounts are usually large when making big purchases.

Awesome decentralized ecommerce applications like OpenBazaar also exist as software to run on your computer. They are far superior to Ebay, with no fees whatsoever and direct Bitcoin Cash payments. Check out what's available at OpenBazaar.com

The greatest free speech Bitcoin Cash domain registration and hosting is Epik.com. They have supported free-speech websites like Gab.com. You can also order local takeout or delivery with Menufy, or buy DoorDash gift cards.

Privacy: If you need really good privacy for an online/in person shop that doesn't accept Bitcoin Cash, you can buy prepaid Visa Gift Cards directly with Bitcoin Cash which you can spend at any store that accepts credit card anonymously.

An easier way if you MUST use fiat is to use a free service like Privacy.com to create temporary credit cards with set limits charged directly from your bank account. This avoids having to "pay" a credit card, getting fraudulent recurring charges, and prevents your name from showing when paying with credit card.

Remember to always use CashShuffle with the Electron Cash wallet so that nobody can track your payments!

Long live peer to peer cash for the world!

I Own A Startup Crypto ATM Co and Bitcoin CASH Escrow Exchange and Looking For A Good Partner.

    Posted: 01 Jan 2020 07:54 PM PST

Hey everyone. So I own a Crypto ATM company and Bitcoin CASH escrow platform we just launched. It's just 2 of us now and I'm looking for a good partner who can help with some of the financial needs of the purchase and placement orders we have to fill. We are a FinCEN certified MSB and can be found on FinCEN gov. The Company is Bitcoin ATM Pros Inc. and we have Crypto ATM Pros Inc. and Visionary Holdings LLC. I found a company in Shenzhen who is ready to make me 300 Crypto ATMs with several coins accessible that I have already designed and I will have software rights for the US market with this company who does the software and backend for the ATMs. I'm also open if you prefer somewhere else that would be more effective. I have looked all over the world for the last 2yrs and this was the best that I have found.

We are currently creating a full exchange with as many coins as we can over the next 4 months that will be ready to launch in April 2020. We will be connecting the ATMs to the exchange and place them all over the world to set up Website 2 Machine transactions. Pay on the website through the various local payment methods on the website and they drive to a secured Crypto ATM with a voucher code to pull out the funds. I have placement connections all over the world ready to execute on this.

We have about $30 million in rough gems, but there is No wrap on them, so they are not insured and I don't have the funds to insure them, they are GIA certified and appraised here in the US. We are only the 2nd owner and we are still in close contact with the original owner and has a few hundred million worths and is looking for the same thing as I am, he is accessible with proper documentation and he is the one that dug them out of the ground himself, who lives here in the US. He pledged us $30 million worth to help us get funds for our Crypto ATM Company. If you or anyone you know want them or who can get them wrapped for really cheap. Looking for the next step and eventually either selling or getting a gem backed loan for a few million for a couple of years. I have all the documents on the gems and they are all here in the US. Let me know if you can be of any service. They are there if needed.

Let me know if you are interested, I can fly out anywhere if you would like to meet up in person if needed. There are a lot of options, reach out if you have questions about anything.

How can I help merchants in Brazil to understand the importance of BCH and other cryptos?

    Posted: 01 Jan 2020 01:30 PM PST

I've noticed that the crypto movement in Brazil is still veryyy small. There is just a handfull of companies that accept any flavor of Bitcoin in the country and I'd love to make that a higher number.

Specially people in Australia and Slovenia, what's going on that it seems people are just more adept of changing and experimenting the new technology (this is based on the news I receive; it could very well be distorted)?

Bitcoin is still a very hard subject to tackle when I talk to common, non tech people. Some of the routes I've tried and were not very successfull are:

"The government cant seize it": With this one I get reactions like "it's already illegal to seize private money unless a judge orders it". There is a strong sense that, for some situations, there should be a way to get a persons money or block it somehow. I believe this, just as other items, will be very common among other people in other countries. The population is just very used to having these members of society with the "caretaker" and "justice bringer" power.

"It's instantaneous. A lot of coins are very cheap to send": "The bankins system kinda already is?". In Brazil we had years and years of old banks until some new players like Nubank and Inter came along and gave a breath of fresh air to this market. Using Nubank accounts I can just as well scan a QR code that has your bank info and transfer you some money. The same is true for a lot of digital wallets, like PicPay and Mercado Pago. I need to be fair and recognize those as good apps and services. Other bancks, like Itau, Bradesco and Banco do Brasil are play catching up with them and Itau (the one I'm also client) actually delivered new UIs that are much easier to use.

The speed is not actually very atractive here.

"Nobody can prevent you from sending money anywhere": This is received with mixed responses. I get the "Never happened to me" and also some interesting sparse telligns of people trying to use their credit cards and been denied usage and situations when you try to move a higher amount and the bank prevents you cause it can be a fraud attempt. This last case is usually followed by the "it's for our own good".

I won't even talk about the idea that crime uses crypto. This is very well challenged talking about how the Brazilian Real, US Dolar and Euro are used since forever for those activities

Does anyone has advice on starting new iniciatives to propagate BCH usage? I'd be very happy to hear success and failures too to learn more with them
