India has banned bitcoin trading (for a long time now). There are no bitcoin exchanger companies in operation anymore. What is the best way to get through this restriction?

Looking to invest $30000 in bitcoin

    Posted: 02 Jan 2020 04:53 PM PST

Hi, I am new to Bitcoin and looking to invest $30000 of spare money. Any advice how I should do it? Spreading the investment over a period or doing it in one lump sum. Not your keys, not your bitcoins is something I have learned recently about the Proof of Keys on January 3 and I think it is really great community idea.

If you had $30,000 dollars for yourselves, would you invest it in Bitcoin right now, and why or why not? I would love to become a Bitcoin millionaire.

Is it better to invest in Bitcoin mining insteads? I know I am late to the party but love the techonology so much and want to get in to it.

All of these questions come to my mind after frustrating losing a Minesweeper game. I don't want my money to blow up like that. In the end I did win a good Chess game though to make up for it.

For someone who is just getting into bitcoin & learning as I go. I've read a couple of posts & comments on never keeping your coins on an exchange. Keep them in a hardware wallet so on & so forth. Amongst other things. So can someone just explain to me, if I were to buy $100 worth of bitcoin on an exchange such as Coinbase ($100 to start off small & Coinbase because that's the only recognizable exchange I know of), I'd want that $100 to grow in value as the price goes up (or go down).

    1. If I were to transfer that $100 worth of bitcoin onto a hardware wallet, how would I see the value of that $100 grow or drop? By monitoring the price changes on the exchange while having it in my hardware wallet without actually having that Bitcoin on the exchange itself?

    2. I've read that Coinbase doesn't give you your keys, or something to that extent. How would I then transfer or send that $100 bitcoin into my wallet?

I have a couple more questions, but these two are my biggest ones rn for the moment. I want to be part of this future, be part of this revolution.
