Posted: 10 Oct 2019 08:23 PM PDT Title. XRP is one of the most regulation-friendly cryptocurrencies on the market right now, thanks in large part to the people at Ripple. Everyone seems to have this idea or notion that a financial crisis is right around the corner. So, if there is a "plan b currency" that could be used that no one could control, I would think it is XRP. However, being real for a moment, "Pleb network" transactions being capped at around 1500 TPS isn't desirable for every day use. It would easily take a long time to verify transactions, longer than what you or I would desire. I imagine it wouldn't take much time for Ripple to figuratively "copy and paste" a parallel network that places like Wal Mart, Metro, Carrefour, 7-11 and gas stations could obtain access to, right? EDIT: I forgot to mention this bit - before anyone can express concern that the token burn associated with each transaction might deplete the world supply of XRP to quickly, I want to toss out there that if there is a dire need to change the token burn "ratio" it could be done, right? And this is information that would be expressed openly and upfront, I would imagine. [link] [comments] |
