Posted: 01 Oct 2019 08:32 AM PDT Apologies as I am a newbie when it comes to CPU mining, but I'm currently stumped trying to get XMRig 3.2 running on my Ryzen 5 3600 using HiveOS. The rig includes MSI X470 Gaming Plus, Ryzen 5 3600, 1x 8GB Ballistix Elite 3600 MHz CL16, and Nvidia GPUs. In preparation for November 30th, I decided to do a trial mining run with LOKI's RandomXL, but I can't keep the miner up for longer than a minute or two, and the hashrate is only peaking at about ~4.5-5kh before the whole rig restarts. I think I have everything set up correctly, and shares are being accepted, but I may be missing something as far as thread configuration since I have never used XMRig before. Have also tried running instances with both the GPU/CPU miner concurrently, as well as CPU miner alone, and still see similar results with the rig quickly restarting, so I don't believe it is taxed for resources. My next guess will be to load up Windows on the rig and try from there, but I thought to check here in case I am missing something obvious. Does anyone have any insights for getting XMRig configured on Hive? Thanks in advance for any help. I know this is GPUmining, but I'm sure a number of you will still keep mining Monero even when GPUs stop being ideal, so please forgive for posting here. [link] [comments] |
