Considering that crypto is a high risk investment, what would happen with the price in a recession? Posted: 02 Oct 2019 03:29 AM PDT Most people around here keep saying how if we'll hit a recession or major economic downturn, the government backed currencies will crash and BTC and ETH will moon. If most people consider crypto risky and super volatile, then the first thing most people will do, in a situation like that, is to get rid of it to use their money for more basic needs like food, shelter and more immediate needs, rather than keep it in crypto. This will most certainly lead to a price crash. Would love to hear your opinion on this. [link] [comments]

If Bitcoin and crypto are meant to be legitimate Posted: 02 Oct 2019 03:52 AM PDT Forms of currency or goods may they be cyber or on a Bitcoin ATM receipt; Then why must I lose so much in fees and sellers profits (I don't for USD at banks) when I have to first buy them on LBC or using my debit card (2-5 business days) and then waiting a multitude of days to withdraw it or spend it in some cases? Do you believe this is good or bad for the market/does it make it more or less legitimate and why? It's very time consuming to get my hands on coins, or to take it back out - into my hands somehow. TLDR Bitcoin and crypto are getting harder to buy sell trade and use in China, the USA (see: regulators) in some cases, Japan, the middle East, etc. - so why is it still considered a legitimate or desirable form of tender? Are BTC and crypto coins after all nothing more than the Western or rich man's currency and tender (or "game") and nothing more? [link] [comments]
