Posted: 11 Oct 2019 05:41 AM PDT First of all, what does this have to do with Bitcoin Cash? Censorship-resistance is very important to cryptocurrencies and our markets. Censorship-resistance is the entire Raison d'etre of cryptocurrencies. Without this resistance, we can't find or finance things freely. We can't transact in the market freely. We cannot accurately price our coins. BCH's privacy via Cashshuffle and CashFusion won't mean anything if you can be censored into not using it via social pressure. That's what the monero community is attempting to do here; they are trying to silence those communities who they disagree with. Which means they'll be gunning for any direct competition that doesn't 'toe the line'. That's YOU BCH! I'm sure you're aware that Monero has spent an inordinate amount of time lying about other privacy coin's supposed flaws and misrepresenting facts about their own flaws, as well as your coin. Indeed, as I pointed out in this thread, the monero community routinely lies about Bitcoin Cash While they flood this sub with their shilling and tipbot, the Monero community ROUTINELY LIES about Bitcoin Cash to newbies! I've seen them argue that Monero is cryptographically stronger than ZEC even though they know that's false, for example. So if they can get into a position of just banning people who say things they don't like like they did to me here, then your community will also be on their target list. The monero community is trying to establish a censorship regime which will eventually cover all cryptocurrencies and communities! They wish to 'thought-police' away information like they did here so they can control the narrative and prevent others from finding out about their bad, toxic behavior! This is very bad for all of us because it means our price reviews will be tainted by the scourge of censorship. If we wish to trade and invest in cryptocurrencies freely and without coercion, we cannot allow this! The Monero community continues their aggressive tactics of getting any information they don't like censored and removed. This comment in r/linux was heavily upvoted and has been removed by thoughtpolice at the behest of the Monero community.
The user flenst, who is an aggressive shill for Monero that admitted to following me around and stalking my comments on reddit replied (and the moderators of course left his reply up while deleting my replies to him):
The only reason this user knew about this comment was because he stalks me on reddit. I didn't mention anything about cryptocurrency or Monero until the monero community started vote brigading my comment! It was originally at 20 upvotes and they started walking it down to 6-7. So I posted a note about it and called them out. It then jumped back up to 20 and Flenst felt he needed to respond. So I responded to him with evidence: The post itself is rather long so I'll post it below, but the fact remains the monero community has successful abused the rules of a subreddit to remove popular content that they don't like. This is censorship and should not be allowed to stand! [link] [comments] |
