Why do Stablecoins backed by USD fluctuate in price ? Posted: 30 Sep 2019 01:27 PM PDT If a stablecoin is fully backed by a dollar in the bank, doesn't it mean each token represents one dollar ? If so, why aren't such stable coins always $1 instead of $1.01 and $0.99. If it was algorithmic stable coin, I totally understand the fluctuation but if backed by a dollar in the bank, why fluctuate ? [link] [comments]

Requesting primary sources for the ETH and ETC fork (DAO hack as well) Posted: 30 Sep 2019 09:18 AM PDT Hey all, I have posted this in bitcoin subreddit for bitcoin <> bitcoin cash, but want the same insights for eth and etc. I have been in the blockchain space for little over 2 years, for the last few days, I have been investigating the history of forks for a presentation I will be giving. With google searches, I can only find second hand reaccounting of the history of Ethereum and Ethereum Clasic. To the people in the space back in the day, do any of you guys have forums, tweets that reflected the communities views back then? I really want to learn from first person accounts of the build up that lead to the fork. Thanks. [link] [comments]
