To those invested in skycoin... why?

    Posted: 31 Aug 2019 09:00 PM PDT

I've never seen a more incompetent team been around for as long as they have and delivered so little. They have a grown man call himself synth, their consensus algorithm took forever to finish (don't even know if it's done) raging admins who call people the n word (sudo).

And apparently "rogue admins" have forked to skycoin cash and now people who have downloaded the skycoin wallet the past few weeks may be compromised.

First off I don't believe they really went rogue. I've always thought this project was a scam and with all thit drama that goes on it I can't believe the amount of minions it has.

I'm genuinely interested on why people invest into a project where the leaders of it behave like they do.

Anyone have experience with claiming losses on tax forms? Need some insight

    Posted: 31 Aug 2019 06:04 PM PDT

I would like to ask the community members who have some expertise with claiming gains/losses on crypto assets.

    Ill give some info first:

    1. I bought a shitcoin throughout 2018, starting January 2018 through October/November 2018. Bought BTC first, then used that BTC to buy the said shitcoin. It was around 10 trades.
    2. Lets say that the initial amount of money was ~$4,000.
    3. Also lets say that amount of money invested has dwindled, and is currently (as of today) worth around $480.
    4. I decide to sell it today, at a loss.

Will I be able to to claim the amount lost when I do taxes next year, for 2019 tax year, even though some of the shitcoin trades had surpassed a year? Finally, when you do claim losses, do you need to provide the exchange data trades or are your own notes on the trades sufficient? (probably a stupid question, but the exchange I'm using is overseas and not sure if they would even believe the data I pulled from it)

Would like to thank anyone and everyone in advance for shedding some light on this matter.

Most efficient path for trading XLM to DAI?

    Posted: 01 Sep 2019 02:06 AM PDT

There's no direct market XLM to DAI. What would people choose as the best path for this conversion? i.e. which coins/exchanges. High liquidity is important to me, so half-baked exchanges won't work. Any thoughts?
