| Can someone explain how a 1 billion Xrp giveaway wont dump or suppress the market price? Posted: 16 Aug 2019 02:30 PM PDT I see the potential for Xrp for sure, but how can we ever expect it to appreciate when millions can be sold off on the market to fund various startups and whatever else? Is there a way it wouldnt dump the price? I would think the price will take a dive and then recover over time - if and its a big if people still think its a good investment. Im beginning to think David Schwartz was very intelligent to sell off his Xrp a couple months ago if he was aware this billion xrp was happening... Edit - some good responses below. Would appreciate if someone can explain if there is a mechanism that prevents the billion xrp from effecting the market in a negative way. Do they have a way of identifying that the price wont be affected vs a certain range being given away? Such as maybe the market can handle 1 billion over a given period, but 2 billion would sink the price... [link] [comments]  |
