Thoughtful Discussion on Moneygram investment because of Xrapid

    Posted: 15 Aug 2019 09:22 PM PDT

Ok so I am up quite a bit since investing in Moneygram in my Robinhood app. This is without, to our knowledge, the full weight of utilizing XRP to make their entire system more efficient. Here are my reasons for taking 50 percent of my XRP holdings and putting them into Moneygram for the next 6 to 8 months here are my reasons.

    ________________________________________________________________________________________

-Moneygram has transparency, they are held to a higher standard because of their board of directors. In the last phone call they specifically mentioned being able to see the impact in quarter 4. While they couldn't explain all the details they gave insight and good information on what is happening next.

    - They are trying to raise their stock prices, it is the goal to add value for shareholders, that is a novel idea, and one I sorely missed while being in the cryptocurrency market

-Most people don't know what xrapid is so there is an opportunity of our/my understanding of this product guide my decision and have invest before the general public has time to be told by CNBC or Foxbusiness that you should invest. It's like insider information that wealthy people get all the time.

-Moneygram doesn't have to find partners that trust them and are willing to use cryptocurrency. Settlement would happen on the backend and the customers and business partners could care less. Ripple has to sign banks and then wonder if/ever they will use XRP because it's there choice.

-Money gram is down almost 50 percent from the past year it's not impossible to double in price relatively soon

-Moneygram will be a first mover, and it seems they will be providing liquidity and leveraging spreads for profits once xrapid gets going

    Reasons for divesting some XRP

-A piece of FUD is true, surprisingly, XRP does have too much control of the currency in Ripple's hands and they can practically, I mean literally pretty much what they want with it however good or bad the idea i.e. giving away millions of dollars on the Ellen show which if exposure was the point I think objectively we can say it failed.

-Little to no transparency. Now compared to other cryptos RIpple is always above board and transparent but there's no comparison to traditional stocks.

-David Schwartz sold some of his bag of xrp. At first I wanted to believe he knew where it was going and decided he didn't need all that money but it seems to me he knows what RIpple is doing and decided to cashout now. It's not in peoples interest to know something is going to raise in prices and sell it for less than what it will be worth

-Maybe most importantly, from my experience it matters what the leadership thinks of people. I don't know if Brad Garlinghouse generally cares about the people who put money into XRP, he may just see them as climbing stones to get to where he wants to go. He rubs shoulders with the elite do you think they really want the commoners .
