Hidden payment channels are coming to bitcoin cash.

Talking about the competition isn't inherently toxic. But trolls try to guilt you for it anyway.

    Posted: 22 Aug 2019 06:19 PM PDT

Example: BCH has fast cheap reliable payments. That's positive. That makes Bitcoin Cash great. What's so wrong about pointing out that BTC doesn't have this? That makes the choice of which coin to use or invest in simpler.

Also, usually the comparison is to BTC because the difference in actual functionality is usually the biggest, at least in terms of cost, speed, privacy, scalability, etc... The "throttling" just makes it so. The difference between BCH and other coins is sometimes more subtle and even simply the network effect.

Local.Bitcoin.Com is by far the best way to buy/sell crypto for fiat. Just completed my first trade.

    Posted: 22 Aug 2019 06:06 PM PDT

I just sold 1 BCH on there at 10% above the market price, and the experience was outstanding. Secure, anonymous, fast, minuscule fee's and no middlemen. I love this whole idea of non-custodial wallets and escrow. I would even recommend it to be BCH haters just as a fiat/crypto gateway.

I was really, really impressed with the whole experience.

I bet some smart traders can do some highly profitable arbitrage on there too. I might start trying to do some of that myself. I couldn't believe how easy it was to find someone willing to pay 10% above the market price, and I started getting more buy offers before I took down my offer.

If you haven't tried it yet, do it. Even if you just buy/sell $5, you gotta try it and see how great it is.

CashFusion is coming to Bitcoin Cash

    Posted: 22 Aug 2019 11:25 AM PDT

Right now we have CashShuffle coin mixing for enhanced privacy on the BCH blockchain, which according to the docs says:

CashShuffle is a fully decentralized privacy protocol that shuffles your Bitcoin Cash with other network participants. This shuffling process obscures your real spending and makes it extremely difficult for chain analysis companies to track your coins. https://cashshuffle.com/faqs/

However, CashShuffle falls a bit short if the user ever conslidates coins after shuffling, sort of undoing any enhanced privacy they started. Although not the end of the world if you keep shufflin' (and don't consolidate), this is not ideal. But there is a solution, which I learned is coming in just a few short months in November 2019, called CashFusion.

CashFusion authors Jonald Fyookball and Mark B. Lundeberg are taking CashShuffle to the next level with CashFusion. In the spec they wrote,

CashFusion provides high levels of privacy via a flexible scheme that allows an arbitrary number of inputs and outputs of non-standard amounts. It provides anonymous, trustless coordination with usually zero-knowledge of linkages revealed to other players or the server.

You can read more about CashFusion here: https://github.com/cashshuffle/spec/blob/master/CASHFUSION.md

Bitcoin Cash is a Distributed Preservation of Service Attack against BTC

    Posted: 22 Aug 2019 12:00 PM PDT

The bankers could not attack Bitcoin directly, so they funded development instead. On August 23, 2017 Blockstream Takeover Coin took over the Bitcoin-legacy network through a soft-fork. This allowed them to appropriate the BTC ticker. The Bitcoin Core developers then refused to implement Segwit2x as agreed to in the Hong Kong agreement.

Bitcoin Cash is a User Activated Hard Fork designed to route around obstructionists.

Credit to Jason Scott for coining the phrase "Distributed Preservation of Service Attack".

Lots of deluded people claiming EOS has no transaction fee. EOS, coincidentally, has a HIGHER transaction fee than BCH: 0.1¢. However you also pay for all the transactions you don't send. Why would anyone pick a by-design centralized EOS for transactions over BCH?

/u/MemoryDealers (Roger Ver) you do the best job I've ever seen in the crypto space with Bitcoin Cash. Stay strong! We all know BCH is faster, cheaper and the better way to use it as electronic cash as Bitcoin. BTC hate us because they know which cryptocurrency is better and it isn't bitcoin core

The current dust limit in ABC is 546 satoshis, which it inherited from Bitcoin Core code. Does ABC have any plans to lower this? Right now there is almost 0.46 BCH locked up in addresses that contain Spice. Which after less then a year of spice I think is quite high.
