Lets strangle the network and then call the un-strangled networks "underutilized". The BTC network is strangled such that each person on Earth could only initiate 1 transaction in their lifetime.

Early Access to a computer game I'm coding up

    Posted: 17 Aug 2019 04:12 PM PDT

I wanted to learn more about programming because i have lots of ideas on how we could build tools to better the world. I wanted to start small, program something easy, and go from there. Its been months in progress. This is my first time ever coding.

My future plans for this game is to tokenize all the in-game assets with SLP, and distribute shares of the game so people can earn as others play. I plan on making it $0.05 pay to play with BCH. I also plan on incorporating a fun little story about Bitcoin history in the game. The game itself is supposed to reminisce of galaga.

I wasn't going to share my ideas on this yet, as i think its normally better to stay anonymous with these kinds of things, but the more people start doing stuff like this, the stronger the bitcoin cash community becomes and the harder it gets for government to regulate, censor, or stop it.

Anyways, here it is. Its still very early in development. I'm still creating the in-game assets, debugging, i haven't even gotten to creating levels yet. I've got a ways to go. But feel free to share any constructive criticism or ideas with me.

Here's the game. (Currently it only plays and runs efficiently on computers) https://editor.p5js.org/cryptacritic17/present/oaswueydz

TIL that some people don’t know that Bitcoin Core developers actually want the blocks to be full and the fees to be high. Luckily I’ve compiled all of that evidence for people who didn’t know it already.

On the topic of Bitcoin and currencies name confusion (Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin SV, Bitcoin BTC, Ethereum ETH, Ethereum ETC..)

    Posted: 18 Aug 2019 01:48 AM PDT

The topic of cryptocurrencies name confusion come back regularly.

It is often presented as a proof that Bitcoin Cash is trying to mislead newbie and steal the "Bitcoin" brand.

While I agree currencies sharing similar name can be confusing, the situation is not new and in reality extremely common.

It is actually relatively rare to have a currency with unique, non-shared name.

It is the norm, not the exception.

Any peoples with only a bit of knowledge should know this situation exist and be prepared for it when trading currencies whatever it is crypto or regular FIAT.

If anything crypto have shown so far a remarkable consistency. (Somewhat surprising as crypto are open source project while FIAT currencies are state enforced)

    Observations of BTC proponents (twitter)

    Posted: 17 Aug 2019 11:00 AM PDT

Today I did a bit of interacting with the haters responding to one of roger ver's pro-BCH tweets.... a few things struck me during the exchanges:

    1. Many people are completely unaware of this subreddit. After directing some to come to this subreddit for real info and uncensored discussion, one even commented that "Roger even says that Reddit is censored and you present this as fact?" There is still a high degree of ignorance in the BTC community and we shouldn't fault them for it. We can point them in the right direction of where to find honest information.
    2. Many BTC-core fans are innocently unaware of the history of Bitcoin. Most of the BTC supporters seem to have been convinced that slow and expensive transactions are ultimately a good thing. To me these people are akin to 18 year olds who are convinced to join the military to fight and die for elitist wars. They are simply brainwashed and need some help and truth.
    3. Most BCH haters seem to be people who arrived to crypto during the last bull run (ok, obvious but...). Keep in mind that most people are mainly followers. They love to be part of the perceived majority. Those with unclear or non-researched beliefs will naturally gravitate towards the position of least resistance. They see people piling on Roger's tweet and they join in the bashing. It's a sad fact of human nature that must be unlearned. Ironically, these THINK they are doing something good.

I believe it's important to have a more gentle (yet somewhat firm) response to these people. Keep in mind that many who are 'hating' BCH on twitter and elsewhere are simply unsophisticated people in most cases. Of course there are sophisticated trolls and whatnot, but I'm speaking of the majority here not the niche minority of aggressive disinfo agents and btc propagandists.

Drop this subreddit into twitter threads (point 1.) Sadly, I see too few people speaking up on Twitter to defend the ideals of fungible p2p cash while directing the brainwashed crypto masses to uncensored info. Eyes will be opened since uncensored truth and better ideas will always win out.

Personally, I also like hitting on a few points like: the fact that things DO change, that btc maxis are full of psuedo intellectuals like Saifedean and that in order to have true freedom we need an inexpensive and fungible p2p means of exchange. It's hard to argue with the truth.

Will economics (Bitcoin Cash) win or will the taxi gangsters (BTC extremists) threats/harassments against the Bitcoin Cash community win?

    Posted: 17 Aug 2019 04:07 AM PDT

I came across something interesting and thought might be worthy to share. I am currently in a country where Reddit is banned and taxi gangs have monopoly over certain areas so Grab/Uber drivers are not allowed to pickup passengers from certain areas.

The fact that you're reading this shows I managed to overcome the ban to assess Reddit nevertheless. And I did that because the value of using Reddit is more than what is preventing me from doing so. It's simple economics. If people find something useful and valuable, they will find a way around the problem.

And ever since I knew about the taxi gangs situation, I no longer take any taxi rides anymore. I simply walked away from those spots, same as everyone else here, and we all took Grab/Uber anyway. It's all down to simple economics. The price of taxi here cost at least twice as much as Grab/Uber for the same trip. Even if the taxi gangs want to, they can't compete with simple economics. Consumers will do what makes sense and use the better service. It's basic economics.

Earlier this year, the government of Venezuela forced all businesses to increase the minimum wage by 300%. Maduro thought that by doing this, he solved the financial problems for the workers. What happened in reality is that businesses were forced to let go of the workers, because their business simply does not make enough money to pay such wage hikes. Instead of increased wages, now the workers are jobless and out of any income. This is simple economics and even the government of Venezuela cannot compete with basic economics.

It is also simple economics that if you have BTC that is slow and unreliable and cost over $50 per transaction during peak periods vs Bitcoin Cash that is fast/reliable/affordable (tokens + privacy + progress etc), people are going to end up using Bitcoin Cash. BTC extremists are like the taxi gangs, using threats and harassment, to scare people away from Bitcoin Cash. Indeed, it is very scary for BTC extremists to compete against a superior Bitcoin Cash. Obviously, they are worried their threats and harassment will not be able to compete against simple economics. If I were them, I would be worried too.

Any smart investors know the difference between price and value. And anyone who could understand value will profit while anyone who only understand price will end up paying the price. In the end, the fool will leave with the experience and the wise will leave with the fool's money.

With that in mind, it all makes sense why Xapo wants to be sold to Coinbase. Because they thought Bitcoin Cash wouldn't survive, but it did, and if they were to buy back what they had sold, they would end up paying a lot more than what they had dumped those Bitcoin Cash for. They wanted to leave a sinking ship while they still can, because they understood basic economics. They are the smart ones.

Will economics win or will the taxi gangs (aka BTC extremists) with their threats/harassment against the Bitcoin Cash community win? We will know in time. =)
