Posted: 05 Aug 2019 03:11 PM PDT Hi guys, Going on from my "Steam and Bitcoin Cash" post earlier I have also chased up ProtonMail in the hopes they could facilitate BCH payments for their paid plans as I am a big fan of theirs however I would be reluctant to purchase a paid for account using a debit or credit card as I don't really want to be linked to paying for a private email service. I have asked the question on their subreddit so if any of you also use ProtonMail or would use them if they facilitated BCH payments maybe you could leave a comment on my post too? Cheers :) [link] [comments]

Posted: 05 Aug 2019 04:42 AM PDT Hi guys, As a lot of people on here will know Steam the gaming platform stopped accepting Bitcoin Core as a payment method back at the height of Core's high fees in late 2017 and I was wondering why haven't they adopted Bitcoin Cash as a payment method since then? I am constantly looking at where I can spend BCH now (almost becoming obsessive...) and this is something that stands out to me as being:
Now I know there may already be roundabout ways to spend BCH on Steam through buying gift cards etc but that isn't the same. I have contacted steam quoting my account name and why I think it would be a good move for them but is there anything I or we as a community can do to bring more attention of BCH to Steam for facilitating payments? Also, if anyone else has a Steam account and would like to also get in touch with them please find the contact details below. https://www.valvesoftware.com/en/contact/ Cheers, [link] [comments]

Posted: 05 Aug 2019 07:10 PM PDT Essentially nonexistent customer service finally calls back 2 days late and I find out that they have to manually remove fraud holds that were already dealt with by their (separate) fraud-tracking company TWICE...talk about lacking efficiency. Mind telling me this shit next time?????? And then I hang up and go to pay with my card and of course it is still getting declined. This is bulllllllshit. Fuck this company. [link] [comments]

A couple of things that I have learned and observed over the past couple of years. Posted: 05 Aug 2019 06:54 AM PDT Over the past couple of years the only cryptocurrency that I have used to make any purchases is Bitcoin cash. It works exactly how I imagined Bitcoin should work. I'll admit as a newbie that I initially was fooled by Bitcoin core. Bitcoin core has no 'real' use. Its transactions are slow and the store of value argument is like them asking the community to throw a bone to keep them alive so they can carry on pillaging new comers with high transaction fees. Leaches!!! Reminds me of the banks but worse. I hope mass adoption does happen and people realize that Bitcoin cash can be used daily as a way to make purchases, transfer funds or simply as a store of value. Quickly and without the high transaction fees. It doesn't matter what I read on Reddit, it has '0' correlations or effects on the current prices. Price predictions are like 'A'holes.
