Airoav, Avast, Avantis, Mcafee - Malware Removal

    Posted: 07 Aug 2019 04:27 PM PDT

Yesterday I had 1.2 BTC stolen. I properly copied and pasted the receivers address and posted it into Blockchain.info. My computer has malware on it causing the receiver side address to change automatically to some address of an unidentified hacker. In short, I just got ripped off for nearly 15k USD. Can you please advise which software to install to remove malware AiroAV, Avast, McAfee, Norton, Kaspersky, Eset, etc?

I've been in Bitcoin since 2013 and remember it was the digital cash usecase that made Bitcoin a breakthrough.

I am in Bitcoin since 2009. I know and understand what is Bitcoin. I remember the principles and ideals. Bitcoin Cash is Bitcoin, Bitcoin BTC is not Bitcoin. That will be all.

BCH usability in China right now?

    Posted: 07 Aug 2019 07:33 PM PDT

I'm traveling to China a couple of times next month. Ideally, I'd like to be able to spend BCH whenever possible. I understand I can no longer do that through WeChat, but are there other straightforward ways to do so? If not spending directly, is there a relatively safe/cheap way to exchange BCH for CNY? I would prefer to not create an account anywhere if I can avoid it.

I'll be traveling with some Americans and some Chinese, so it would be great if I could demo ease of use, especially with my American counterparts spending time and fees to exchange USD/CNY. Any tips are appreciated, trying to help spread usage!

I don't know much about Zero-Knowledge Proofs, such as what's on Zcash. Could something like this exist on Bitcoin Cash, what trade-offs would there be?

    Posted: 07 Aug 2019 11:27 AM PDT

I'm going to preface that i really have no idea how it works whatsoever.

    1) Does it provide any privacy beyond cash shuffle, cash fusion, and schnorr signatures?

    2) How does the technical debt compare to other ambitious proposals, how bad is it?

    3) Would it help or hurt scaling?

If there's any articles on it or opinion pieces by a dev, that's what I'm looking for.

Is it possible to use voice recognition to create a timstamped proof for an agreement?

    Posted: 07 Aug 2019 11:54 AM PDT

BCH can be a good platform for timestamping proofs, specifically ones that require biometrics, which could be then used to query information about what was said by who and when. Iirc IBM has a similar project, but since BCH is meant to be open and permissionless it could be ideal for that purpose.

P.S. further rebranding BCH as an altcoin with a green color is a bad idea. BTC has the market value because BS was cunning enough to find a way to retain the ticker by softforking instead of hardforking but only BCH follows the original whitepaper.
